We've got advance screening Limitless cardholder only tickets to see Good Boys at the cinema tonight. The movie starts at 8:15 and James will pick me up after work and we're going to get something to eat beforehand. It's a film James really wants to see, which is why we're going to this preview showing while he's in the middle of his workdays, but I'd say the odds of him actually staying awake through it all are low. I mean, we're going to Durham with the super plush and comfy recliners, he's doomed to fail, really.
I saw this meme doing the rounds, and thought I'd give it a go.

Behind
2009
Grey Crimson Skies. Bandom -- the second, and longest, story in the Tints verse. I can't believe I wrote this so long ago. What is time? Though as 2009 was when I first got my account the actual writing happened before this as I was uploading old stuff for a while.
2010
When Day Is Night Alone Bandom. I'm not at all surprised this took top spot for the year. WDINA was my most read and most kudos'ed story for a very long time. Clan house and poor Brendon will always hold a place in my heart.
2011
Like a Bunk and Cramped Sleeping. Bandom. This is one of a handful of Gerard/Frank stories I've written and kudos wise smoked anything else posted that year, and many other years, too.
2012
And the Painted Ponies. Bandom. I still love this story so much, model Mikey and Frank, the bodyguard who loves him. Happy sigh. This one got top kudos spot by a mile.
2013
Blurring the Truth and the Lies Bandom, aka the story where Pete is in a serious accident and Mikey is the nurse who loves him. Hey, I never said my ideas were complicated.
2014
Winds Blow From Times Past Guardians of the Galaxy. This was in the period where I didn't write much at all. But had watched Guardians and fell in love with Groot, therefore, this story.
2015
Risking It All In a Glance Magic Mike XXL because I still love that movie and will forever mourn the sad lack of stories attached to it.
2016
The Holes in Your Apologies You Know The Musketeers. You'd think looking at the last results I'd stopped writing bandom, I hadn't. Just I wasn't writing much at all and when I did write bandom the reaction was down on other fandoms.
2017
Contagious Creativity Bandom, the one where Gerard discovers pinterest. I still really like this. As much as I enjoy writing h/c, I also love happy hopefully humorous fluff, and this fits that nicely.
2018
Welcome to the Darker Side bandom. This snuck in at the end of the year and was the start of starting to enjoy writing again and posting fic more often. I doubt I'll ever be as prolific as I was in my early bandom days, but still, it felt good to want to write again.
2019
Everything Has Come Undone. The Umbrella Academy. This has my highest kudos ever at nearly 600. Of course, it helped I posted when the fandom was exploding and establishing itself.
It was good to look back at my A03 past, though a little sad to realise just how little I wrote these last few years, especially compared to early bandom days. But, I've also got a load of stories I still feel very proud of, and that includes the ones with few kudos at all, for example, my popslash stuff.
There's still a lot of this year to go, but I doubt anything I write in the next few years will pass TUA fic, that one really was posted at the right time.

Date: 2019-08-13 09:43 am (UTC)It was an interesting meme, though did show how little I'd written compared to when I was filled with enthusiasm many years ago.

Date: 2019-08-13 04:32 pm (UTC)I love your story for many reasons, that it worked so nicely for you, that it meant I got to 'meet' you, and that it kick-started my writing again.
TUA one is top by a huge margin. I've never had anything with so much kudos, especially in such a short amount of time.
