Just a quick one as I need to get ready to go get my B12 soon.

I'll be saying nothing new to anyone in terms of news and links, but omg, MCR is back! It was the last thing I was expecting when I checked my phone last night. Them performing together, new photos of them together. Hopefully new music -- please let there be some new music, if not now in the future. Them on the stage together again. Be still my heart! I really hope some of my friends can go to the concert and seeing all the happiness on my flist has been lovely this morning.

Which leads nicely to the fact that a new round of

no_tags is up. You can prompt now so get thinking of those prompts. No tags is one of my favourite challenges, and I can actually take part this time as timing-wise it's pretty perfect.

Finally,

mini_wrimo is happening. This is also a favourite challenge of mine and one I've taken part in for years. I'm only going really low word count wise, just 100, but those 100s add up if I force myself to actually write on the days I have no desire to do so.

I'm off to Mog on the Tyne after the doctors, so a post about last week will have to wait for now. Something I'm sure you'll all be on the edge of your seats waiting about.

OMG, T., CAN YOU BELIEVE IT? I DIDN'T EXPECT A HALLOWEEN MIRACLE AND YET HERE WE ARE!!!!

On a somewhat calmer note, I'm thinking that IF/WHEN they tour it'll be a reunion one and not, like, BOOM: ACTUAL!NEW ALBUM. I mean, it's likely they've got a lot of (by now) old songs recorded...at this point, WHO KNOWS, REALLY?

But, yeah, yesterday was A LOT (TM) because I got on twitter a few minutes AFTER the announcement so I cried and was floating on feels and then more people would show up freaking out, etc. It's all tremendously wonderful and ridic.

I'm not going to the LA concert nor actually know anyone who is. May the ppl rarin' for tickets get to snag at least one.

What amazes me is they've kept it so secret. It really was a shock and considering how hard it is to keep things hidden, I'm very impressed they've managed to do so.

I could hardly believe it when I saw the first post and still didn't until I'd checked official sources.

I have to admit, my imagination is running away with itself as I picture a new album and a worldwide tour and just everything. But, even if none of that happens I never expected them to perform together again, so I'll be happy. Just, you know, always wanting more.

The demand for tickets will be huge I'm sure. I haven't seen anyone I know say they're going to try and go. But, again, that doesn't matter because new photos! Them on stage together.

It did, and I got my flu jab too, so stabbed in both shoulders.

I caught the first notification just as I was heading to bed last night, and instantly stayed up longer just reading and checking other posts. It's still hard to believe it actually is real. The announcement seems to have come out of nowhere.

At least it's not that long until the concert. I guess we can wait that long, and maybe they'll do promo. Meaning new photos of them together.

Awesome. Going by the last few challenges I wouldn't be surprised *g* Now I just need to actually think of and post my prompts.

The fact that they kept it quiet doesn't surprise me one bit. Like, this is the same band that had not one but TWO secret pregnancies in addition to super random appearances. Props to whoever their team is because they keep their lips zipped up really good.

Tho, apparently, one of the Jonas brothers (don't ask me which, I don't know them, and they legit look alike to me) had said a month ago that MCR had been rehearsing next to them in an NYC studio. I've done my duty as a fan and googled this AP article where the whole thing is laid out (including Frank shooting down the so-called reunion rumor).

AND THEN, there's the whole thing about GWay doing a podcast where he handwaved MCR getting back together (I dunno when the podcast episode was recorded, but the episode itself was released v. recently.)

ALSO, the fact that Frank played a guitar-only version of "Bulletproof Heart" on Insta like 3 weeks ago.

I'm just happy for them and us while crossing my fingers that they hit the road so many folks (including ourselves) can see them onstage.

IIRC, the venue holds abt 6k ppl and the ticket service (which isn't Ticketmaster) is only allowing 2 tickets max per purchase. I can't even imagine the bloodbath that's going to happen once they go on sale in about an hour from now. And, yes, I'm rarin' to see concert videos and pics and just them playing together onstage and being HAPPY. <3________;

You've got me sitting here thinking of all the things that have been said lately, and while they seemed random at the time, now they all seem to be clicking into place as clues.

Frank's insta post especially. I can just imagine his glee at seeing the reaction to that post and knowing what was in the works.

You're a good thing linking that interview. I especially love Frank spoofing the rumour with his own post and again, all the time knowing it was actually true.

I bet that Jonas brother is feeling very vindicated right now.

I saw the ticket went within minutes, which isn't surprising at all.

I had only been keeping up with Frank, tbh. GWay's doing the comic book and UA stuff (which means some con appearances, etc), Mikeyway's doing the comic book and being a dad, and Ray's just doing random guest spots with GWay and Frank's music.

But, yeah, once you take all of the stuff at once, it's ridic obvious.

LOL at that Jonas bro. I heard he got a LOT of >____> and some mild hate for mentioning that he'd seen MCR at the studio. I'm not sure if it's because it sounded so random OR because he said it in a try hard way or what. XD

NGL, I'm super-duper curious to see WHO the hell ended up getting tickets. Based on my TL, no one I know got even close to snag one. Then I saw tweets about scalpers selling the tix starting at $1500.00. Which is utter bullshit.

Finally, even if we think we're done with Bandom, it's not done with us, hahaha.

I see from the comments that you got both the B12 and a flu shot so go you!

I don't know really what I feel right now. I'm not sure I have it in me to be fannishly excited again. I think it will depend very much on whatever the theme/esthetic vibe/sound of the new incarnation of the band will be.

Definitely excellent timing for no_tags! All the good luck for you with the prompt claiming!!

PS Where was the MCR news announced? None of the posts I've seen here on DW have actually linked to anything! I'm feeling like an outsider!

I did get them both. I suspected I would as they did the same last year. But, it's better that way than having to go back to the doctors again for something that takes all of a few minutes to do.

I'm really interested in the direction they're going both theme and music-wise. At this point they could go in any direction really, just their old music, new music, casual clothes to something super themed, simply because before the announcement there were no hints they were doing anything at all, just one little rumour that no one really took any notice of.

I saw the announcement on Instagram, but it also went out to their email list. The new insta is here. It was very much a short announcement that had everyone going, the hell?! Then it was also posted by the band members showing it was legit.

No Tags prompt claiming is 5pm my time, so I'll be keeping watch then. I suspect there may be a few MCR prompts to choose from.

I've been keeping an eye on them on Insta, though Ray hardly ever posts which is a shame. Though when he does it tends to be gold.

I shouldn't laugh because it's not on that the Jonas brother got hate, but I keep imagining him going, See! I told you I'd seen them!

Starting at $1500.00 that's just.... wow. I mean, I'm not surprised that the tickets are mega inflated but that's a hell of a lot of money.
