Thank you to
rikes and
frausorge for the very lovely cards ♥ My living room is starting to look extra festive now with all the cards.
Last night I was in the bath and Milo crept in and started to blatantly drink from the toilet. He never does that, he has a freshly filled bowl of water upstairs, a water fountain and bowl of water in the kitchen and he drinks from the toilet. At least now I know for a fact what caused the drooling issues, but really, the toilet? WTF, Milo.
I was happy with the winner of Strictly and enjoyed the show dances, especially Karim and Kelvin's. I've never really got all the flailing over Kelvin and his hips/sexuality, but there was one point in his showdance where the music slowed down and he and Oti strode across the floor and I got it then. They looked amazing. If you're interested it's from 1:03 here
It's a semi-busy day tomorrow. Limb centre again in the morning and then we're looking after my niece and nephew for the afternoon, including a school pick up. My MiL has said for a while all she wants for Christmas is to see my oldest nephew again and his social worker finally agreed she could. So, she's going along with my SIL for their contact meeting and will get to spend an hour or so with him. She was thrilled when she was given permission, and I'm so happy for her.
We've also invited my Mil and FiL over on boxing day. It'll be the first time they've ever actually spent any time over the actual three main days of Christmas at ours, and actually the first time in many many years James will be off for boxing day. We've also invited my SiL's partner, which I struggled with for a while. I mean, I like the man but if he comes it meant my niece and nephew couldn't. In the end, they preferred to stay home, which is fair enough, when you're five and four you want to be with your new toys, and as my SiLs partner will be alone all over Christmas day, it didn't feel right not to invite him.
It does mean I've had to increase my plans for the boxing day buffet. I've not bought and prepared as much in recent years due to James being at work and only me and Corey being at home most of the day. But this year we'll have double the numbers so it'll be like the mega spreads of yesteryear.

Date: 2019-12-17 04:54 pm (UTC)What is it with cats and needing to look in toilets? You wouldn't think they would be so attractive.
Thank you. Thankfully the plans are mostly lots of food and staying in and hosting. Which is fine, even if I'm sure to want to decompress by myself for a while after.

Wow, I hope your busy day went well. Also, yes, I totes get why you weren't 100% with the idea of having SiL's partner over. :-/
Finally, dang, that's a hell of a spread, T.! Happy cooking. ;P

It's hard. If my SiL changes her mind I'll disinvite him as my niece and nephew, and my SIL will always come first. But, I do think they'll be happier surrounded by all their new stuff.

Date: 2019-12-16 09:33 pm (UTC)Bad kitty, Milo!!! That is so not good for you!!
Sounds like you're going to have quite a busy holiday this year. I hope everything will go well and everyone will enjoy themselves.

Date: 2019-12-17 04:39 pm (UTC)I had no idea he ever drank from the toilet. He has plenty of fresh water to choose from so I think he's just lazy at times.
It will be busy, but for good reasons. Though I can see me flaked out on the couch snoozing by Boxing day night.

Date: 2019-12-17 12:31 am (UTC)Your Boxing Day plans always sound so amazing! We don't have anything like that over here; everyone just goes back to work the day after Christmas, like nothing ever happened. So anticlimactic!

Date: 2019-12-17 03:42 pm (UTC)I can't imagine being thrust back into normal life the day after Christmas. You need boxing day to keep on digesting all the food, and then add more to the mix *g*

Date: 2019-12-17 06:52 am (UTC)Goodness, Milo. Cats can be so ornery.
I hope the various celebrations with your in-laws go well, and that working around the restrictions goes as smoothly as it can.

Date: 2019-12-17 04:34 pm (UTC)I couldn't believe it when I saw him stick his head down the toilet. In all his 15 years I haven't seen him do that before, but obviously he must have as he knew exactly how to stand.
Thank you.

Date: 2019-12-21 02:54 pm (UTC)As for Bruno. What's frustrating is he often has good points and can be sensible, like when he took charge of that jiveathon or whatever it was last year and the scoring computers glitched, and yet most of the time he babbles on, arms waving and loses credibility.
