Thank you
sperrywink for the paid time. It's very welcome and was an excellent surprise, you're the best ♥
Today we've been to the cinema to see Playing With Fire. While it was good to get out in the fresh air and have a walk, man, was the film bad. I thought I'd enjoy it as I usually like slapstick kind of humour but pretty much everything about it rubbed me up the wrong way. I hated the main character, the toilet humour, the other characters, including the kids, got on my nerves. It very nearly became a two toilet visit to waste more time instead of having to watch. Looking at reviews it seems to be a Marmite movie in that people either love it or hate it. To me, I'm very much on the hate side.
I think tonight will be for catching up on some recorded Christmas tv. I've a load of things to watch as all I've actually seen so far was the new Gavin and Stacy, so I have Bake Off, Strictly, Call the Midwife and a few other specials to get through.
So, as plans go. Not a bad one at all.

Still haven't caught up on the Christmas stuff. At this rate I'll be watching when it's summer.

Date: 2019-12-29 09:01 pm (UTC)how disappointing to have the film be so bad - I take it all the "best bits" were in the trailer
Yep.
I'm usually very easy to please in terms of films. As long as I'm entertained a little I'll happily sit and watch. But this one. It really did bug me, and what was worse everyone else in the screen seemed to think it was hilarious.

Date: 2019-12-30 09:41 am (UTC)I did enjoy the tv, but not any of the Christmas specials. I ended up watching something about Hoarding, as you do.

This really should have. I've read more reviews since then and it's getting slated a lot, as well it should. Such a bad film. Not Rambo bad, but close.
