Snowflake Challenge 3
Jan. 6th, 2020 03:02 pmChallenge #3: Pimp Your Favorite Communities, Fests or Challenges! Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so
I've been thinking about this and below are some comms and challenges I like. All have been posted by other people on my flist, but I figure better a few times than not at all.
no_tags the flash bandom challenge. I love this, low pressure and a whole lot of fun.
hc_bingo bingo challenge of my heart and it's run so incredibly well. I suck at actually getting a bingo but I still keep signing for the thrill of that shiny h/c card.
mychemicalromance_daily Turlough has been running this forever and if you want daily photos of MCR it's the place to be. The tags are a thing of beauty, Turlough having the kind of organisation skills I want to have when I grow up.
hurtcomfortex Just like it says, an exchange for h/c fans. I have to admit, I did find the format a bit confusing to join but that's more I wasn't used to A03 based challenges based on tags.
I intend to look through answers soon and hopefully will find some new shiny comms and challenges to check out.
This morning was, meh. We went to the limb centre, James had his new leg checked, some parts changed on his old one. Left there to go to Metrocentre as we had tickets booked to see Jo Jo Rabbit. Got there and James went to park in an end disabled bay and totally misjudged and bashed into a railing, severely denting Clem's front panel and scraping a long gouge. Thankfully the car is drivable and all the damage will be covered by Motability, including getting a hire car when ours goes to be fixed next week. But we still need to pay an excess of £100 which is the last thing we needed right now. And, I didn't get to see the film as we had to come home and do a load of phone calls. It could have been so much worse, but even so, bah!

Date: 2020-01-06 06:13 pm (UTC)It could have been so much worse, and is fixable, so I'm hanging onto that.

Date: 2020-01-07 09:11 am (UTC)That's why I love the fest so much. It is quiet and a lot of fun. Plus, I love how you mods ensure everyone gets a story in the end.

Date: 2020-01-07 08:42 pm (UTC)Oh no!! How incredibly frustrating and annoying for you! You REALLY didn't need any more bills right now! It could of course have been much worse but it must still feel a bit annoying. You have all my sympathy!

Date: 2020-01-08 08:31 am (UTC)Annoying is right. Everything is in hand to get it fixed but it's a bill we could have really done without.
