I wasn't sure if I was supposed to go personal or fannish, but ultimately, I think anything goes, so I decided to do a mixture.

I can grow pretty great tomatoes. Okay, so, dad was a huge gardening fan and his thing was growing tomatoes. Before he died he started to teach me how to grow them too, especially the Shirley variety once we got a greenhouse. Since he died I've continued learning on my own, and I think he'll be proud of my efforts because each year the tomatoes get better. No, I'm not an expert gardener and sometimes I think it would be so much easier just to buy veggies. Then I'll step into the greenhouse on a sunny summer morning, get hit by that tomato smell and know that it actually is worth it.

I'm very laid back, little riles me and even if it does I can get over it pretty quickly. I also like what I like and won't apologise for that, though would never push those likes onto others if they didn't like the same.

While I'm not completely there, I'm much more body confident. In years past I wore skirts to my ankles and covered up, now I'll happily wear my compressions under a skirt/dress that's knee or mid-calf length without wearing leggings too. I'll also wear strapless tops and if my bingo wings offend anyone, well that's on them. I'll never be 'normal' shaped, but I've worked damn hard to get where I am so I'm not going to hide under excess fabric. Well, unless it's cold, then all bets are off.

I also think I can spin a good story. I love world-building and thinking about plots. I'm not the best writer out there but I don't need or want to be, I'm just having fun. So, going on from that, some stories I'm proud of.

We've No Way of Knowing. This was for The Good Place and I wrote it for fandom stocking last year. I wrote this fast and it felt good to do so and a nice change to write away from my usual fandoms. I still like the voices in this, and that I took a chance on something new.

Turn to Dust or to Gold. Written for what turned out to be the last popslash sesa. It has unicorns and JC risking his life for the karma sutra. Add in a bit of animal transformation and it would have summed my popslash stories up, really.

And bandom. It's hard to pick for this one as I've written so much and so many of the most popular stories are now ancient. I mean, going off kudos it's Like a Bunk and Cramped Sleeping, which always makes me laugh as Frank/Gerard was never a favourite pairing. However, the story under that is And the Painted Ponies, Frank/Mikey, where Mikey is a model and Frank the bodyguard who loves him. And like the popslash story above, I can point to this in terms of bandom and say, yeah, this is me.

Oh nice! We usually grow tomato’s in our greenhouse, though sometimes we have bad luck with them.

I've had some bad tomato years when I got very little in terms of crop. But I think I'm getting the hang of it now.

It's the best way to be. I always think as long as you don't try to force what you like on others, like what you like, no matter what it is.

My partner likes to garden. This year's tomato crop are mostly black Russians, plus some cherry tomatoes.

And, thank you. I do love the taste of homegrown tomatoes. Which is always good to remember when I'm pruning and watering and everything else that goes along with growing.

I love to read about your greenhouse and everything you grow there! (And I often think it's a shame I don't like tomatoes, there are so many cool varieties that would be fun to try and grow.)

I really enjoy my greenhouse and am looking forward to using it again. Well, beyond for storage which is what's happening right now. That is a shame you don't like tomatoes, though. Because you're right, there are so many cool varieties and they seem to increase every year.

Really the effort of growing tomatoes is self-indulgent as I love eating them so much. If you lived closer I'd be giving you bags full for sure.
