turpsI posted the co-written comment fic I mentioned a few days previously. I couldn't work out how to post as me plus an anon or orphan co-writer so just had to mention that in the notes part. Sadly, some of the art that went with the fic has been deleted on the actual journal of the person who created it which is a shame. But, another piece is still there which is great.

We got our hire car yesterday. It's another Mokka, but a black one and inferior as it doesn't have bum warming seats which is just wrong. Clem should be back by next week, though. In excellent timing, she had to have her annual service on Monday and passed with flying colours, apart from the dent on the wing. Typically, James was talking to the Motability man at the garage who said it would have been okay to wait to do the repairs as it's cosmetic damage only. On one hand, yeah, it would have been good not to have had to pull out £100 excess this month, but on the other. At least it's done.
James was back at the doctors this morning as he's still not feeling 100% right. Plus, the doctor's phoned two days ago saying they needed to see him, and it turns out two of his tablets in combination have contributed to the deaths of two people so the coroner had sent out letters to those on the same combo. The doctor was so good, took more blood, did a heart trace and juggled the meds a little and James has to go back a week today and see if that's made any difference. He's at work now but man, it's one thing after another lately.
I'm all caught up with Prodigal Son now, and as I suspected it was one hell of an ep. Now I need to decide if I'm going to start watching the new Party of Five or continue on with The Mandalorian. Decisions decisions.

Date: 2020-01-16 08:58 pm (UTC)No seat warming?! The horror!!! Here in Sweden all (modern) cars have seat warming /feels superior It's good to hear that Clem is in good shape apart from the dent though.
Ack! That's scary about the meds causing deaths! Hopefully the new combination will both prevent anything like that happening James and also make him feel better.

Date: 2020-01-17 07:39 am (UTC)I wish all the new cars here had seat warmers. As it is it tends to be the more top end one, not that Clem is top end. We got lucky with her and Vauxhall offering it as an extra. But wow, do I miss them in this cooler weather.
I hope they do make him feel better. He had to come home from work again yesterday so we're off to the doctors again today. It feels never-ending right now.

Date: 2020-01-20 12:31 pm (UTC)I have to agree. It was a weird time back then, and while they were obviously upset Bob had left the band, them leaving fandom completely because of that surprised me. Especially so as we'd been commenting/flist friends for a long time.
Thankfully Turlough had saved the art and sent it to me a few days ago. I just need to upload and link to it now.
