I wouldn't actually say these were a resource as such unless you want to learn about Mikey/Pete from MCR and FOB respectively. In which case they very much are.

I've been on a bit of a Mikey/Pete Summer of Like nostalgia kick lately, and have recently re-read these two posts.

This one is at A03 and is all text about the two of them and messages they posted and theories about songs. Though really, is there any doubt about Bang the Doldrums?

This one is at LJ and while comprehensive for the time has the fuzzy photo Photobucket issue. But if you squint you can sort of see what's being said.

Both are totally out of date of course, by which I mean, meet up again already Mikey and Pete. Feed each other kit kats and make jokes about pool houses again. I'll be waiting.

Actually, the whole bandom ships comm is worth a look. It is very out of date but is great at showing bandom when it was at its height.

In other news. Clem came back late afternoon yesterday and the hire car went back late morning today. So for a while, we were a two-car family.

As soon as the hire car went we could finally go to Costco for cat litter, and they had good tester stations which, bonus. Then went for a walk before visiting Kayleigh for a few hours. She's just been signed off work for mental health reasons, which, sigh. I wish I could make her feel better but well know it's not that easy.

Finally, showing yet again she's a superstar, turlough had saved the wee!Bob artwork from the comment fic, so I just need to upload that somewhere and link from the fic.

Right, I was hit by nostalgia too, which is how this post happened. Which is just as well as I was out of any answers otherwise *g*

Yeah, me too. I'm just glad she accepted the time off while on med changes. She tends to try and power through.

sometimes i sit around and think about how i like lived to witness all of the summer of like happen in real time and now it's this weird Stuff Of Legend and, like, damn. time flies.

Time does fly.

It amazes me how fast and that there are people out there who only know this stuff via archives.

And thank you for the Mikey/Pete prompt the other day. It was a lovely push into nostalgia for them and made answering this challenge easier.

How cool that there are bandom meta on AO3.

It's so frustrating the way Photobucket's made so much bandom meta almost useless!

For once I'm uncertain what an English expression means - does "signed off" means she's lost her job or that she's been forced to take sick leave? Either way it must be very difficult for her. I'm keeping everything crossed she'll start feeling better soon.

It is cool, A03 isn't somewhere I'd expect to find it, and yet there it was.

Photobucket has been the cause of so much being lost, and the blurry photos they do allow people to have are worse than useless.

Just she's been forced to take sick leave, thank goodness. She likes her job but her mental health has been in the gutter lately and she really needs time off to change meds and recharge.

The Summer of Like was such a rich mine for fic.

I'm glad you got your own car back. Hope you can stay nice and warm again now. :p And that is a grand view of the countryside!
