Jan. 26th, 2020 05:34 pmEarlier I saw Origin had a fantastic sale on for Sims4. It was only just over £8 and I had that amount in my Paypal account so I downloaded. If you never see me again know I've been pulled into the time-suck of The Sims and am off manipulating lives in the worst kinds of way.
I'm still enjoying The Masked Singer a lot, then when that's done I turn over to watch The Greatest Dancer which I record. This means Saturday night is now my mindless reality tv night, and I have no shame about that at all. Though, I'm glad that, apparently, Matthew Morrison's moustache should be gone for the live shows, as that thing was hideous.
Yesterday our walk was at the beach and we went about a third of the pier before turning back. I told James that next time he'd make halfway because he's walking much better now. Today it was raining and we needed cat food so we heading to the shops and just did a circuit around the shopping centre. I know mall walking is a thing in lots of places so I figured we'd do the same.
The other day Kayleigh gave me a present of a keyring she'd had made featuring the photo that had been taken of her, me and mam at the beach. It was the time
tara visited and she took the photo of us all and I'm so glad she did as it was the last time we ever went out together and mam died soon after. So, that photo means the world. It was such a thoughtful gift and I love I can carry it around with me always.

Date: 2020-01-26 09:05 pm (UTC)A walk on the pier sounds much more attractive than a walk around the shopping centre. Even in the rain!
What a lovely gift!

Date: 2020-01-27 05:43 pm (UTC)The walk on the pier was beautiful, except for the bitter wind coming off the sea. Which didn't help James with his walking as per usual he was in his t-shirt and shorts combo.
It was an excellent gift.

Date: 2020-01-27 05:42 pm (UTC)Yeah, the keyring did bring feelings to the surface. Not that it was hard, I've been missing mam a lot lately, probably because I ended up looking through her Insta for the first time in a while last week.
Behold my PR feels... (sorry?)
Date: 2020-01-27 11:10 pm (UTC)PR is being good when it comes to most designs. But, lorde, Sergio gets on my LAST DAMN NERVE. He's the kind of person who takes himself SO SERIOUS all that time that it ends up feeling v. performative? I also get v. stressed by Geoffrey's anxiety and chaos (though he's infinitely more likable than Sergio and just as talented w/r/t design.)
Also, if VICTORIA DOES ANOTHER SHARP SUIT WITH A FREAKING SIDE CUT-OUT AND STRAPS IN THE NEXT EPISODE, I'M GONNA RIOT.
Re: Behold my PR feels... (sorry?)
Date: 2020-01-31 06:38 pm (UTC)OMG! Sergio is the worst. He sucks the joy of design out of everything and you're right, everything is serious and has to have a message. Plus, he never ever thinks he's wrong and that's such an unattractive trait to have.
Plus, the way he interacts with Christain is so disrespectful.
I'm with you about Victoria too and disliked her even more after the last episode I saw. Her attitude was horrible.
Re: Behold my PR feels... (sorry?)
Date: 2020-01-31 06:44 pm (UTC)The thing about Sergio is that he IS v. talented but he's also so pretentious taht it's like "dude, sit down." Although I don't disagree with his win, I'm also thinking that he's going to be insufferable.
I sort of went on a mini-rant about Victoria this morning on Twitter. Not only did she disregarded the challenge for a 3RD TIME, but she also whined about quitting (then didn't), and SHE WENT BACK AND DID THE SAME FUCKING DRESS FOR A 6TH TIME. TBH, the fact that she's still in the competition is the main reason why I get so frustrated with this show (and part of the reason why I wasn't watching it after it moved to Lifetime.)
She IS a good seamstress, but the way that the judges totally fawn over her is ridiculous. ESPECIALLY BECAUSE THEY'RE PRAISING HER FOR THE SAME GORRAM DESIGN! Her overall attitude during the entire episode, but specifically during the judging, was gross AF.

Date: 2020-01-27 08:12 am (UTC)I still need to catch some of the masked singer, but you’re right about that moustache ewww
Ohh that must be nice to do a beach walk
Awww that’s so sweet

Date: 2020-01-27 05:36 pm (UTC)I'm really enjoying The Masked Singer, but yeah, that moustache is not a good look. I was glad to know it was for a role and not a personal choice.
Beach walks are the best but can get a bit cold this time of year.

Date: 2020-01-27 01:25 pm (UTC)I've never understood how people can mall walk without buying every single thing they pass (but if anyone can do it, I'm sure it'll be you guys!)

Date: 2020-01-27 05:33 pm (UTC)Oh man, I'm terrible about wanting to buy stuff, but a lack of money helps with that *g*

Date: 2020-01-27 03:03 pm (UTC)I often do laps of the Tesco Extra near me when I want some exercise - I can clock up between a quarter and a half-mile when I do both floors! It's kind of insane - but its great because it's flat and it's dry... there are just people. Which, ugh, but hey ho

No, I totally get that, especially the flat part. We try to keep our walks where it's flat, but sometimes that's just not possible, especially in bad weather when the ground can get slippery. So, in those cases inside is great.

Date: 2020-02-02 07:18 am (UTC)Now I need to sort out my keys so it doesn't get lost with all the old keyrings. I still have those bells we got in Wales along with many others that probably should be retired. I jingle when I walk *g*

Date: 2020-02-03 04:37 am (UTC)I'm so glad that I was there to take the photo for you :) And, on a more selfish note, to meet your mam because I had a great time with her and seeing the three of you interact.
