Mar. 11th, 2024 03:14 pmThank you
dine for the postcard and message. I do enjoy mail from you ♥
It was Mother's Day yesterday and my nocturnal kidlet phoned at 2pm, which suggests he called as soon as he opened his eyes. Earlier we'd been to see my MiL and Kayleigh had put a little shout-out to me on FB from Bodhi, which was unexpected, but very nice to see.
Bodhi sitting went well last week. On Thursday, as we'd bought a car seat, we went out and about in the car for the first time, to a play café first and then to Morrisons for a quick and cheap dinner ( kids eat free there which is a plus when you have a toddler who doesn't eat much at all ) then to the actual park. Though we didn't stay long as it started to rain and was really cold, too.
Friday I was babysitting solo, one of the highlights of which was being invited to a tea party inside Bodhi's fairy castle wendy house in her bedroom. I was dubious about actually fitting through the openings but managed to get inside, along with countless stuffed animals. I also managed to get out, if in a very undignified way.
It was our second visit to the weight management programme on Tuesday
I'd lost 17 pounds, James 6, so we were both happy with that. Especially so considering we'd both been out for multiple meals over my birthday week.
The programme has three locations, but the one in my town doesn't have a dedicated person in charge. The lady we've been seeing comes in for the consultations from another location, but the nutrition and exercise classes don't run due to the lack of staff.
I've been keeping up with the recipes and talks via the emails that are sent out. But from the end of the month they're getting a new full-time person who will cover our location, so all classes will run. I asked what was involved and was assured I was quite capable of doing the exercise part of the classes, but still, I'm very tempted to go to the talking -- or listening on my part -- side and attempt to sneak out for the rest.
Next weigh in is in six weeks, until then, keep on doing what we're doing.
It's my lymph appointment tomorrow, and I've just phoned to double-check my transport is booked, and of course it isn't. If I hadn't checked, I would have been waiting like an idiot. So now I have to wait for the receptionist to phone back after she gets in touch with the transport coordinator. At a push Kayleigh is off tomorrow, and will probably be able to take me, but it's frustrating when this was supposed to have been booked at the same time as my appointment.
