Make a Top Ten list for your favourite music picks and share what you love about them. This can be in any format - songs, artists, albums, music videos, soundtracks, scores, something else not mentioned here. If it's vaguely related to music, it ticks the box, so go with whatever you like!

(1) A-Ha was my obsession band when I was growing up. Every inch of my bedroom walls were covered in A-Ha posters, and I had an almighty crush on Mags. I could pick many songs, but have gone for the classic, Take on Me. This one is also a lovely memory as not long before he passed, I was in the car with dad, his Parkinson's was really advanced at that time, and this song came on the radio. Dad hardly ever talked by that point, but managed to say, 'it's the song you like' and yes, yes it was.

(2) I have a lot of love for Savage Garden, and while it's not my choice here, their song Two Bed and a Coffee Machine is a gut kicker. But my choice is To the Moon and Back. Some of you will know why, but if you don't, it'll forever be my Paris/Torres shipping song, because no one will ever convince me the lyrics don't fit. Fun note, I lurked and then commented on a Savage Garden fic community on LJ, my soft launch before I decided to say, screw the rps haters and threw myself full throttle into popslash.

(3) Which brings me nicely to, Nsync! I'm not saying this is my favourite of theirs because it's impossible to actually pick one. It's especially hard because along with bandom, popslash was one of the best fannish times of my life, and the music is tightly tied into that. But as I do need to pick one, I'll say Bye Bye Bye, if only because really, it's a classic.

(4) And for my Backstreet Boys choice it has to be The Call. I could say it's because of the brilliant video, and the excellent way that it's formatted. But truth is, it's because they've never looked hotter, especially Kevin. That hair, that coat, those trousers, the way he hesitates and closes his eyes before jumping through the window. Wonderful stuff.

( a sex thinking bonus 4 )A bonus SDB, JC and All Day Long I Dream About Sex. Because of course you do, JC. Of course. This video will never be anything but amazing.

(5) The Kids From Yesterday. This song, I can't even say how much I love it, like, my repeat play numbers are ridiculous on YouTube. I always remember when MCR came back after releasing Danger Days and the first live performances were getting released and footage of this song appeared and Mikey just didn't leave at the end, and people were wondering if he'd forgotten or something but no, he kept doing it because he was a damn hot bad ass enjoying the moment just because he could, and have I said how much I love this song and this band?

(6) Sing, even though it makes my heart hurt. But included because this song/video provoked the most insane reaction on LJ/DW bandom circles when it was first released. I can still remember so many reaction posts that were just NOOOOOOOOOOOO! Mine included.

( a codependent Way bros 6) Another MCR choice but I'm not actually counting it as part of this numbered list because Gerard being held back when Mikey is shot, and Mikey screaming and going to Gerard when he gets shot is basically the same song/video just multiple years, technology, universes apart.... Ahem, yeah, but regardless, The Ghost of You is an amazing song, and have I ever mentioned how much I enjoy codependent Way bros?

(7) Talking of MWay ( still wearing my Summer of Like tinted glasses ), my FOB choice is America's Suitehearts. I'm not lying when I say I think they all look great in it, especially Pete, and I really like the song.

(8) Continuing on the bandom theme, Panic! Which will always mean Pv2 for me. A Panic with no Ryan involvement wasn't Panic for me, so I'm going to go for Nine in the Afternoon, which is incredibly catchy and jostles its way to top choice by way of Ryan's pjs, adorable face, and his urge to sit on Brendon's knee at the end.

( a sweaty bonus 8 )Bonus! Long term readers will know how much I love Panic's version of Karma Police, I think it's stunning, every sweaty part of it and oh, I miss RyRo with birds on his face.

(9) Moving on from the core bandom, though I could have listed many many more. Hybrid Theory by Linkin Park is one of my favourite ever albums. I find it so hard to pick a favourite as I've spent many years wailing along to every song. But if pushed, In the End.

(10) Look at that, I got the exact ten...

Something much more recent. Olly Alexander. It's a Sin. That show broke me, the video breaks me all over again. But I love it anyway.
