Some days I wonder if all the hard work and crap that goes into maintaining an archive is worth it. But others you open your mail and just can't stop smiling. Today is a day like that.

I've been thinking about LJ today, specifically about a meme that [livejournal.com profile] dolimir posted. I enjoyed her meme but friendsfriends surfing I saw that most people were using it in relation to what they didn't like in their friends list, and that just seems wrong.

My stance is your LJ is yours. You put *anything* you want in it. You could fill it with Mary Sue self inserts, het fic or even...shudder bad het MX inserts, but I'd never presume to tell you not to do that. I may mock you in my own LJ you just know that I will but it's your space, do with it what you will.

Same with my journal. I know that some of what I post won't interest all of you, hell if you had *all* the interests that I did I'd be amazed. ( if anyone does have all the same interests, want to get married and have little mutant babies *g* )

I post about a lot of things, media fandom, popslash, music, slash, gen, personal, family, meme's, quizzes, things I've done, read, seen, pretty boys, I squee a lot, and get stressed over silly things. Should I expect you all to read that? Hell no. If some of you do, that's awesome but I don't expect it.

In fanfic I believe in the 'you have a delete key' argument. So in LJ I believe you can scroll past things you don't want to read. So that's why these lists of what people don't want to see on their friends list strikes me as strange.

Guess I'll have to work on my bitch mode more before I could do that meme.
