Further to that guy joining the P/K list I posted about yesterday.

The listmom of the list has become involved now, mailing the guy to see why he did what he did. I've just read the mail that he sent back and apparently he didn't announce himself because knowing he was there might have affected how people talked. Which I maybe can see.

But what annoys me is later he insinuates that we as a list don't understand how academic research is carried out, and that as we steal from Paramount anyway he's just doing the same.

Again, yes he probably has a point but he comes off as so high handed. Yes he might know academia but he obviously knows nothing about netiquette.

I'm sure someone would have talked to him if he asked. It's just this whole thing of copying posts that creeps me out.
