Sep. 26th, 2003 02:00 pmA lesson to you all. If someone *cough/James/cough* says here have a drink of this, and passes a bottle of bright blue vodka stuff over, don't drink it all. Yes, it may taste like pop, but it's not. As I found out last night. I was drinking as I surfed and tried to answer a comment, looked at the preview and man, Corey could have done it better. I sent one to Babycakes and I'd missed letters out all over *g*
We may be getting a new computer, not sure yet. One with a DVD burner and faster processor. I've just been to the shop salivating over a new one with a flat plasma screen. It's a lot of money but we might just be able to swing it. I'll then give Blue to Kayleigh for her 18th birthday. Sorting this out I was embarrassed when I realised that I'd been thinking Kayleigh was 16 and she's not. You'd think I'd know how old my own sister is. I was just telling Babycakes that Kay's 16 and she's weeks away from being 18 eep!
James has also been to get fitted for his tux this morning, ( cut for me being silly about something. )
Received one of my betas back on my popslash and it's got some terrible faults in it. I can see them when they're pointed out and totally agree with what was said. I'm just glad I'm at a point where I can take crit, before I may have wailed about it. Now all I want to do is pull up my sleeves, hack out the bad bits and sort it out. I think it'll be a much better story once that's done. In fact I know it will. I'm just glad I've someone willing to point the negative things out. Because I don't believe that anyone can ever have the perfect story the first draft. In the case of this one probably 75% will have to be changed, but that's okay. I can work with that, I'm just glad I didn't post as it was.
