Had such a bad night last night which ended with me nearly breaking my toes.

The tv man came and as soon as he saw the set said it was the tubes that had gone and it would cost far more than a new tv to fix. So we decided to bring the tv we had in our bedroom down, at least I say we, I had to manhandle the damn thing down. Though it wasn't that bad as I just used the stairlift to take some of the weight. Got that tv into the living room fine, then started to take the broken one off the unit. The broken one is *big* and heavy and I felt every pound of that weight when I lost my grip and the damn thing landed on my foot. The same foot may I add that I stabbed with a pencil and aches all the time anyway. The air was blue, and I may have cried because it hurt a lot. I really thought I'd broken my toes last night, but they're moving this morning, just looking a bit black and puffy. I'd kick the damn tv but I'd probably hurt my other foot.

And that's my stupidity told for the day. Now I'm going to see what you all are doing.

EEEEEEEEEE! Parcels!

Jenny, you've outdid yourself! I have pixy stix! and gummy handcuffs that made me squee when I saw them! And Mutant seX 2 and MX eps and just so much mutant goodness! Love you so much!

The mail also brought two of my Christmas presents from James, and I so want to play them but am being strong. Also, my Nick Carter CD. It was only £1.20, how could I not buy it?

I love mail so much!

Reading a post about writing on a mailing list has made me think. Advice was given that you should just write a story, do it all then go back and edit, change things etc to make it read better once the story is done. That's so different to how I work. I write, then re-read and mess about changing things then write some more until the story is done, at which point it's sent to my betas. I doubt I could keep writing knowing something wasn't how I wanted it to be. I can see the appeal in one way. I've been stuck on my TS story for so long as I just can't get a scene how I want it. Maybe just writing something to move the story on then changing things after would be the way to go. I suspect the reason I don't like the idea is because I hate editing. I love the actual process of writing, it's the going back and changing things that I dislike. The thought of writing a story and changing things after isn't appealing at all. However, it's something I'm seriously going to think about to get my AU going again.

I've been reading all the Thanksgiving posts and am quite jealous. I want to eat turkey and celebrate tomorrow, it seems unfair that some people get two festive days...sigh. (/jealous streak) Guess I'll just have to celebrate virtually with all the American's on my flist. Any of you that do turkey day set me a plate will you ;)
