Dec. 7th, 2003 11:26 pmLate update today, because we've been stringing lights. Yet again I've been clambering around with a hammer and nails. This time we put lights round the shed roof and on the Christmas tree we bought today. It's a new tradition we have, getting a real tree for the garden, but the lights look so beautiful in the dark. We went to a tree farm and spent a while looking for the perfect tree. Then it was bagged up and we drove home with it spiking me in the shoulder all the way. I also had to carry it home and damn are they prickly. I was digging pine needles out of my clothes for ages. Our house looks so colourful now, I love it.
Also avoided a visit from the in-laws. They were driving onto our estate as we were driving off for our usual Sunday dinner out. I told James to put his foot down and screech away but he wouldn't! Then they stalked us for a while, even following us to the restaurant we went to. I'm just glad that they went after that as there's nothing worse than eating dinner with people that aren't eating and they just watch you.
I'm about to show my ignorance yet again but this political person that Chris was supporting. Who is he and how does he fit in terms of politics in the US? Like, is he from a party opposed to Bush?
Politics in a post, that's not right in my LJ so I'll balance that out by saying how hot did he look! If a little uncomfortable, but still, much with the hotness.
My plans to get the SeSa first draft done this weekend sort of failed after I ended up reading slashfic until way past 3 in the morning last night. I hit all my fandoms, MX, TS, popslash and enjoyed reading them all. I haven't done that for a while so it was fun. Pitch black, the tree lights lighting the room, a cup of coffee at my side and good slash to read. How perfect is that?
