turps: (You make me happy)
We drove to the ford yesterday. It was such a good day, overcast and windy but with the bite of autumn in the air. The moors looked gorgeous, wind swept and strangely colourful in a muted sort of way. We stopped at our usual place and Corey and I had a short walk along the stream as James put the exhaust cover back on the car which had fallen off somehow. That walk was good in so many ways, watching Corey climb down to the stream, his happy face as he threw stones into the water. Watching and laughing at the sheep that stood seemingly glaring at us. But mostly the reminder that physically I am getting better. It's a reminder I need because I get pissed off going to the doctors so often but being there brought back memories of how terrible I felt when we first went there. Sure, my energy levels are shot just now but really, compared to then I'm so much better.

The only bad thing was the amount of litter that had been left. I mean is it so hard to put rubbish in your car and bin it later? Litter louts annoy the hell out of me. It's pure laziness and there's no need for it.

Then we called into Auntie Irene's on the way home and she fed us sweet and sour chicken so we came home happy and full :)

This morning I've been sniggering at something I saw on [livejournal.com profile] seiyaharris's LJ and gacked it to show you here. Rainbow was a kids show that was on when I was young ( about a million years ago ) The main characters were Geoffrey, Bungle the bear, Zippy the...whatever the hell he was and George the pink Hippo. George was the campest thing ever, hell the whole show was camp. That's them below.

Becca had a link to what's supposed to be an actual Rainbow episode. Whether it was shown is another thing, but knowing that show anything's possible. Anyway, the link is here. It's really funny and worth waiting for it to download. Or the script is behind the cut.

Look here )

Thanks to everyone that answered that picture meme yesterday. It was cool to see what you all picked, and now I'm off to actually answer the comments. I'm still behind in the flist reading but I've a free day so I'll catch up I hope.

But before I go. You know what's annoying? Idiots who knock on my door and run away and people that phone my house at 1:30 and 3:30 in the morning and withhold their numbers...grrrrr.
