Someone told me I'd been quiet on here lately and if you discount polls, wintry boys and a Howie/Chris/Rick ohmygodtheirloveissoshortandhot scene and squee I suppose that's true *g* There's no real reason, just lots of time with my boys and sorting things out, house and real life related.
Otherwise things are okay, Corey's on half term just now which cuts into the computer time too. It's funny, we're having these finance talks but also waiting for the new car to arrive, a beautiful silver 7 seater Xafira (sp?), it just seems ironic somehow. The car's in Germany now ready to be shipped across so soon poor faithful BB will be retired and B2 will arrive.
I'm also fending off so called trick or treaters right now. You have to understand around here trick or treating is nothing like it is in the US/Canada/wherever else celebrates it for real. What happens is from about two weeks before kids will knock at your door then stand there looking at you hands outstretched saying 'penny for halloween'. They won't dress up or anything, just stand there looking gormless demanding money, which they won't get from me. All it is begging, if they make an effort and come on Sun they'll get sweets but never money. Man, do I sound mean or what? They just annoy me so much, any parent that lets their young children knock on strangers doors are insane.
This morning Kayleigh was caught by the dog waste patrol people. They'd had complaints about dog fouling and caught Brock in the act. Kay ran away when the car stopped but all they did was follow Brock home. One one hand I get why she didn't pick it up, it was raining really hard, she'd gone out in her dressing gown and Brock had been on his cod liver tablets so....well you get the picture. But, and this is a huge but, if you have a dog it's your responsibility to clean up after it. No one likes to step in dog mess and there's a dog waste bin on the field as well as signs on every lampost saying it's a £50 fine if you're caught, which she has been so she'll have to suck it up and pay.
I'll get this posted one day. James went out with some of his friends tonight and phoned me to say he's lost the car and house keys. He said he went back to the car and it was open but nothing was disturbed so I don't know what to think. The car's adapted so I doubt anyone could drive it without trouble so maybe that's why it was left, who knows. I'm more worried about the house keys. I mean what if they saw our address and came here? Highly doubtful I know as he's in Newcastle over 12 miles away but still all those kinds of thoughts go through your head. The BiL and FiL just came to get the spare car key and James is coming home now. It was funny the FiL had been out and was very jolly when he got here *g*
In happier news we're going to meet
interlock at Whitby tomorrow and I can't wait. SDB chat with another slasher, it has to be good and maybe this time I'll say more than ten words ;)
