Aug. 9th, 2005 11:19 amI surface at last and you'll be pleased to know I'm not whining this time *g* The last few days I've watched about 7284762899002173 hours of Big Brother, read through the Voyager episode guide, finally saw the last episode of Enterprise, and may I say here that watching that while you're not feeling 100% is a bad idea. Though the sadness was amped by it being the last Trek episode to be shown not just the content. I adore the Trek universe. It's been my longest fandom, heck I loved it before I knew what fandom was. Voyager will always be my second favourite tv show and just the thought it had ended was sad. It needed to end, the Trek franchise was burned out, but that didn't make it easier.
And I've totally been sidetracked here. Sunday night my cousin came to visit, which was bad timing, especially as I had an AIM date I really didn't want to miss. I enjoy talking to her, she's extremely practical while remaining supportive and also unafraid to mention anything, which is why mam kicked up a fuss last year when she was told how her drinking problem was causing so many problems for us all. Cutting a long story short we talked a lot ( one thing that always amuses me is she takes notes sometimes, like when I was telling her what the doctors had been saying so she can look it up later ) and she kept saying that I should have rewards for each big block of weight loss, which would be the 50 for the first one. Problem is she wanted to throw a party and I'm like, no! That would be more of a punishment than a reward. I hate being the centre of attention. Hopefully I've talked her out of that because, just no.
I received my assignment for the Worst Case Scenario challenge this morning and yeah. *glares at everyone* I actually do have an idea which I think is workable, I just need to run it past people now.
Okay, I'm going to tackle my in box....eeep!
