Aug. 24th, 2005 10:07 amFirst, do any of you Brits know where I can buy something to stop my engagement ring slipping from my finger? It nearly came off yesterday and that's not a chance I want to take.
I've sucked at birthday's lately, I'm usually much better. So happy belated birthday to
lincolnw,
pierson and
giogio. I hope you all had great days! However, I'm not late for Gill's birthday, so happy birthday
satsuma77! I hope it's a great one full of the things and people you love.
James decided last night he wanted to go camping this weekend, that is despite it being the last bank holiday weekend of the year. He asked if I'd look up a site he's stayed at before, which was fine. What wasn't fine was hours later when I was still looking up sites, giving him numbers so he could phone and be told, sorry we're full. In the end it was easier to just let him use the computer himself, which sucked because I was actually doing something important instead of messing around as usual.
Talking of important,
popstoryfinders came through for me yesterday about a story I wanted to read. I'd Googled it and searched the wayback machine for a long time before asking, knowing I'd get comments about the story I was asking for *g* But in the end I caved and asked, and someone knew, not only the story but the url for the whole nsyncangst site! Popstoryfinders rocks, man.
There's some cool memes going around. The first is a Snaps cup meme which is here. I hadn't heard of this until a few days ago but you go post your name and people then leave anonymous compliments, and really, there's no harm in that at all. Spreading a little joy is always a good thing. So go, look, see if you know anyone and leave a comment. It'll only take a few minutes but will result in a smile :)
ETA:
jchalo is also running one, so go there too.
Second,
llumi has this to say Post something in your journal, anything that makes you smile. Music, pictures, movie quotes, favorite books. Whatever. Don't friendslock it. Invite people to do the same. Not in comments but in their own journal for the world to see. We'll see what comes of it.
There's a lot of things I could have posted, but you know as much as I love fandom and the things involved with it, ( This is what makes me smile the most )
Last, I uploaded Daniel Powter's Bad Day for Fi. There should be some downloads left on this yousendit link if anyone wants to check it out.
