Oct. 20th, 2005 09:08 pmIt's ironic that the stories you dislike the most are the ones that keep getting asked for. Of course in this case it's because I took the damn thing off my site, so I'll suck it up, cringe and send it to the person who wants it. Sadly I wrote some dreck in The Sentinel fandom, mostly due to belonging to an angst list that needed dues. There's stuff I like a lot too, but some, ouch.
Talking of writing, I'm within touching distance of finishing my trickc day story. I decided to try something different for the story so I could keep it short, which ha. The thing's ended up over 5000 words. Which okay, is still short, but not for something that was supposed to be ficlet length. I'm hoping to get that done tonight then sent off to beta. That leaves me 10 days to get the Halloween thing done, which is enough time right? Eeep.
I went to see Kay's new flat yesterday. It's in the club she manages and is an excellent place for someone nosy as the windows are huge and give great views of the people passing by. You can also see where we park our car from there and the bridge to see who's coming and going to our estate. She also showed me behind the scenes of the club, and man is that place creepy. There's a load of small rooms and the tumble drier is in the boiler room which is the creepiest of all. No, I lie. The creepiest thing is this circle of toupee hair which is pinned behind the upstairs bar. It belongs to a man who was killed when a bus hit him, so his friends paid tribute by having his hair behind the bar where he drank.
While I was looking around she showed how evil she is and gullible I am when she took this thing out of the cupboard and asked me to hold out my hand. It looked like a small tennis racket and I thought she was just going to hit me with it, so did so. She did hit me but the damn thing was an electrified fly swat. I swear my hand was still spasaming minutes later.
Supernatural? All I can say is, shirtless Dean, yum! Changing Dean, eeewwww. I enjoyed the episode a lot but man do they like hurting the brothers, which really, is okay by me ;) I was interested to see Robert Duncan McNeil directed, it's good to know he's still forging ahead with his directing ambitions and getting work after Voyager. I miss seeing him onscreen but he's doing what he wanted, so that's a good thing.
