Dec. 21st, 2005 12:45 pmOh man, the mail just came and OMG! Squee!
withdiamonds The Billboard is here! I may have squeaked a little and scared the animals because it looks so good! Okay I lie, I squeaked a lot, and may have got a little sniffly, but ahem, lets forget about that. Man, if I were anymore proud of this fandom I'd burst! Jessa, when I saw you mention this the first time it seemed like a dream, and here the ad is now. In my grubby hands, and just thank you. Thank you to everyone who took part, and thank you, Donna for sending it my way
Also, I got a card from
stellamira and it's Cramp! Cramp and trickc with angst and happiness and Iloveitsomuch! I'm just so full of joy at lines like this ....he missed getting fucked. Lamp wasn't very good at topping. and this after Chris sleeps with JC He was just sitting on the bedside table, dark, and not even lightening up when Chris pressed his switch And then Lamp crashed and broke and it was all so sad because I just know he did it himself. Throwing himself off the bedside cabinet because his Chris slept with JC! Woe! But then JC comforted Chris and things were okay and JC glowed a little and just, I love my friends! Thank you so much, Mira!
Thank you also,
saffronra,
pensnest (small world for sure!)
deliberatehips and....oh man, I've forgotten someone, I know I have. But thank you all for the wonderful cards. I'm glad to see mine are arriving too, I thought they'd been sucked into that great black hole where Jessa's House discs seem to have ended up.
I submitted my SeSa last night, now all I have to do is click off the check html tab. Which I'll do soon, really I will. Like now....or now....okay. It's shut. James asked me this morning if finishing meant I could rejoin family life again, and I guess that's a yes. But SeSa is achieved! Much popslash goodness, and not so goodness, is on the horizon, and I can't wait!
I'm happy with how the story turned out, and somehow it ended up being the second longest thing I've written, thought that's nothing to be excited about, I don't exactly write long. It was chopped at, bits hacked away and added, but you know? I kinda like it.
Of course it hasn't been all SeSa lately. On Saturday night James was at his work's party. He was the designated driver so at around 2am he was driving home when this idiot in a car came shooting past him, clipped the kerb and his car flipped over. James was seconds behind and it's one of those times when you can't help thinking what if. What if he wasn't so fast to break? But he's fine and the driver of the car crawled out so he must have been fine too. What was funny was the next day. James had taken Corey down south with the inlaws. They'd been gone all day, and late that night I was in the kitchen when I heard James' voice on the radio. He'd called the local call in show and was saying how disgusting drink drivers were. I had to laugh, I mean it's one way to know he's back in the area.
There's vague plans that we're having Christmas dinner down Kay's pub this year. She's working on the actual day so wouldn't have time to come to mine, so she suggested we have it at hers, and she'll set up a table in a part of the pub that'll be closed. Of course I'd still have to cook dinner and get it down there. I'm sort of torn, on one had I want her to have dinner with us and it'll only be for a couple of hours. On the other, mam plus pubs are a bad combination, and really it seems to be putting an awful lot of temptation her way. I get sick of her carrying on on a normal night, having her do so at Christmas doesn't appeal at all. Guess we'll see how it goes, she's usually fine when she's not out with the alcoholic waste of spaces that she calls friends.
Corey breaks up tomorrow so I must get his gifts wrapped, and get more last minute presents and...and....and. I love Christmas really *g*
