Nov. 20th, 2006 07:14 pmPrompted by other posts, I feel the need to announce my own state of SeSa. Words: 0. Ideas: One half baked one that may go somewhere. Which means, I'm right on track. It's encouraging really, I mean, the SeSa I'm most proud of was born of utter chaos. A story written, people I trust telling me, dude, that sucks, which it did. Another, totally different story written, and edited until the last possible second. Me with a square ass after sitting writing for so long, vowing to never join another challenge and uttering various combinations of, omg! Why did I even join this one!? Good times, man.
Corey was playing rugby yesterday, which meant a trip down to Billingham. It was good, I'm getting to know and talk to the other mam's and actually understand what's going on now. But man, it was cold. I really need to buy some socks ( I don't own any socks, not one pair ) and some trousers for under my skirts. I don't care what I look like as long as I'm warm. As usual they played on the furthest field possible, and of course, nowhere to sit. The matches were good though, even if one team coach really pissed me off. His team were good, there was no denying that, but the way he talked to them was horrible. After they won the first game he made them sit in front of him and totally bawled them out. Each piece of praise was buried under criticism with one boy in particular laid into. Telling him if he wouldn't put effort in he should get off the field. And I mean, his methods obviously work, but these are an under 11 team. They're kids, and if he was Corey's coach and talked to him like that I would have pulled him from the team in an instant.
After rugby we went shopping at an outlet village. It was all decorated for Christmas with wire reindeers coiled with tiny white lights, and Santa was there in his grotto, and there was a tree, and later Starbucks. Such a lovely visit. Followed by a trip to the cinema to see Starter for Ten, which I enjoyed a lot. Corey however, not so much. He was almost asleep in his seat after assuming that 'I'm bored out of my skull' slouch that boys achieve so well.
I have a GIP, a Camp Sparkle gip from Pen. Isn't it just perfect? Come on, join us at Camp Sparkle. JC's telling you to do so.
Kay's rather pointedly put a chair next to mine. I think she wants to go online. Little sisters are so annoying!
