daisydust I don't know if you read LJ any more but I'm glad you've been enjoying your concerts ♥
When I woke up the smoke alarm was making that annoying chirping noise they do when the batteries need changing. As well as being annoying it's got some of the cats slinking around like there's a predator in the house and they're intent on finding it. Or if you're Tinker, hiding under the desk all fluffed up.
What's not annoying at all to wake up to is
delphinapterus writing me very lovely comment fic. I've been having messed up dreams lately, but one of the good ones was one where I dreamt my local paper had somehow managed to find and print a picture of Mikey and Pete holding hands on Warped tour. Taking that as a sign I asked for Pete/Mikey five times Mikey was caught holding Pete's hand fic -- because hand holding is awesome -- and got it \o/
For anyone interested I uploaded a trickc story at AO3 yesterday. It's one from MTYG 2009, the one where I wrote a story, got it beta read, and then decided to write something else entirely a few days before deadline. It's an AR where JC was never in the band and not that happy in many ways, but I figured I might as well share the thing, it's been sitting unseen on my hard drive long enough. The One Left Behind.
Corey's bedroom is finally finished. Kay put down his new carpet yesterday and the day before I helped cut up and pull out the old carpet, gave the walls a second coat of paint and glossed the skirting boards, where I found out that if you don't concentrate and sand while your arm is resting on another sheet of sandpaper you'll end with a nasty rash and scratches in seconds. His room looks fantastic though, well worth the aching arms.
Keeping on the theme of doing stupid things. I nearly lost my new awesome hat. Yesterday I realised I didn't know where it was, and then suddenly got the horrible thought it could have been thrown in the bin while I was tidying up. And yep, there it was, under all the old cat litter and rubbish. Thankfully it was double bagged so is still clean, but still. I don't know what the hell I was thinking.
Have to go now as we need to be at the hospital early, see if Monday's biopsy gave more concrete answers treatment wise. Thank you again to everyone for being so amazing about the whole situation. It means a lot ♥
