James is doing another of his ride alongs on the ambulance today. As that's based just down the road from the hospital he'll call in after his shift and I'll just stay home as it's pointless driving all the way back just to turn around and do the same journey.
Mam is l pretty much the same. She looks fine until she tries to actually do something. They've given her a walking stick as her blood pressure plummets every time she stands up and she gets really dizzy so they've been doing tests to try and find out why that's happening. She's hoping to get out soon but I can't see it, especially as there's no way she could manage stairs. Thankfully she's talking to Kayleigh again. Leanne, Kayleigh's bff who lost her dad suddenly and unexpectedly to cancer recently texted mam and pretty much said she knew it wasn't her place to say anything but you never know what's going to happen around the corner, so would she please contact Kayleigh. That got through to mam much better than anything we said. So, at least there's that.
Monday Corey went on the first week of his citizenship scheme, so the house has been quiet without him. Monday it was also my brother's birthday, so we called at his after visiting, and hung with my brother, niece and nephew a while, made better by dad being there too when we arrived.
Today I've already been up mam's to check the house and tidy up a little, so this afternoon I intend to work on my BBB now that I've caught up on some TV.
Finally, this morning I read Spencer's post about his addiction issues. It was such an honest post and explained a lot about him being out of the public eye for a while. I have a lot of respect for him putting it all out there, and hope he's surrounded by people who love him right now.
