no_tags is up, and I need to decide if I'm taking part this round. I really love the challenge, but getting that last bbb out took so much effort and I suspect what I want to write isn't what the majority of people want to read now, and it's just. Blah blah blah. Whine, whine, whine. I need to get a grip on myself I know. Especially so as no doubt I'll inevitably join anyway, though despite encouragement to do so, I won't be actually using Gerard/Mikey, bus crash as one of my prompts. Because as awesome as that prompt is, right now I really couldn't deal with that being the prompt left to last and moaned about via twitter.
Speaking of, I still hate new web twitter and have been trying out various clients but I'm old and stuck in my ways and it's taking a while to get used to them. All I want is to be able to read my timeline and access my DMs easily. Is that so hard? No it is not, so screw you and your stupid blue lines, twitter.
I've recently watched season one of The Great Australian Bake Off, and enjoyed it a lot. It was a little weird at first, with the format being so similar to the British version, but at the same time, different in some ways. Especially the judges, but I came to be very found of them all in the end. And of course, The Great British Bake Off is on air now, too. I'm looking forward to the episode tonight, it's a show that always makes me feel warm and cosy while watching. Also tonight is the wedding episode of Honey Boo Boo. I'm not going to call it a guilty pleasure show as I don't feel guilty about anything I enjoy. It's just a show I enjoy watching with James.
In rl news, mam ended up back in hospital on Friday. I spent over six hours sitting in the resus area of the ER as her doctor thought she was having a silent heart attack. Thankfully she wasn't, but she did get admitted, and was let out yesterday. No boring details, but lets just say it was a clusterfuck of a weekend where a junior weekend doctor nearly wiped out all the careful med changes and levels that had taken weeks to get right the last time she was in hospital. Today the equipment she needs for the house is finally being delivered and I need to be at hers for that. The problem is, no actual time has been given for those deliveries, so it's a case of having to be ready at a moment's notice and getting to hers when she says they're arriving.
