Dec. 1st, 2014 08:08 amI woke up far too early this morning. 5am and I just couldn't get back to sleep. So much woe.
Still, it means I've had breakfast and can hang online a bit before a busy day.
Since last I posted we took nanna out for the day. Usually we go to the Metrocentre so she can see the decorations, but this year she wanted to go to a specific shop on a retail park. I suspect she was worried about the amount of walking at the Metrocentre, which is understandable as she lost a lot of confidence when she fell in the cemetery and had to lie there next to grandad's grave until someone finally walked by and could help her up. We still had a nice day, though. We checked out the shop, had a coffee, and as she likes to hold my hand as we walk, I did a lot of shuffling as she went through gaps in displays that were fine for a small old lady and not so much for me.
After that we went to our usual beach front restaurant and had dinner, which was lovely too, I always like chilling out watching the ocean with nanna and James. I got a picture of them which is here.
It's James' birthday today, a big significant one. We did have plans to go out for dinner with his family and mine but a few days back his mam was admitted to hospital and even when she does get out she'll have to stay home and rest with nurses visits for a while, so those plans have been knocked on the head. We'll still be going out tonight with mam, Kayleigh and Corey, though. So that's something to look forward to.
Last week I also went to the weight loss surgery seminar, so getting through the hoops for that is going to be happening all through next year.
Amazon keep sending me Laurell K Hamilton emails, because they know I'm weak and Christmas isn't Christmas without the urge to throw the latest Anita Blake book across the room. But just the title of this one makes me twitch 'Beauty (An Anita Blake Sexy Outtake eSpecial)…' I mean, what? A sexy outtake especial. Knowing how much sex is in the actual books I can't imagine how she's added more sex. Maybe Micha's dick is described 199 times instead of 150. Or Anita takes it up a level and uses one of those stuffed penguins as a sex toy. Who knows, but my mind boggles.
We always put up our Christmas decorations on the 1st, but sadly I don't think we're going to have time today. But I am going to put up my card post very soon, I wanted to get it up much earlier than this but as always time got away from me.
