dine for the lovely card and message. You're the best ♥
Thunderbird updated overnight and now the buttons have changed around. Why must they complicate things so? Don't they know they've disrupted my automatic delete action?!
Playing catch up again. On Friday we took my niece out for the day. Things are a bit tense at hers right now so we took her out for dinner, then she went to the last scout meeting of the term with James. She's recently discovered FOB, so the plan was I'd put all my FOB music onto her phone when she came back to ours, sadly that didn't happen due to a faulty wire, but, it's nice to see her enjoying good music.
Saturday the plan was to go and see the parade at Newcastle pride. We drove Kayleigh and her friend there -- a friend that I instantly liked when she said we didn't look old enough to have a 19 year old son, because, you know, a bit of an ego boost is always a nice thing. Kayleigh and her friend didn't plan on watching the parade, they just wanted dropping off on the moor where the after parade entertainment was focussed, but we couldn't actually find the right area at first as Newcastle moor is huge. Then when we drove into Newcastle central we got stuck in the planned traffic hold ups, so all we actually saw of the parade was the people snaking past a gap in a building. Which was a shame as it looked like an excellent parade.
Then on the night James was doing the dad taxi thing and picking Corey up from Newcastle at 2am. I stayed up until he left, and as a result slept in Sunday morning, not rolling out of bed until 10. So that knocked my day back, we were late to get to nanna's, late to leave there as we couldn't just turn up and leave at our usual time. Late to get some shopping so the shops were on the verge of shutting, late to get to mam's, it just went on and on.
Next Saturday Corey is taking his gaming desktop computer to his friend's so they can have a gaming party. Thankfully that won't be a 2am job. I hope not anyway.
Today I was just tidying the tip and some trousers I ordered were delivered. I've been having trouble with trousers lately. Due to the lympodemia I need to wear wide legs, but I think I must be shrinking as the last lot of trousers I got were so long I have to pull them up to just under my bra so they don't trail on the floor. And yes, I know I need to hem them already. So I ordered some new ones with short legs, and they're just that bit too short. One day I'll get it right. One day!
