Remember the Magic Mike pact I have with [personal profile] sperrywink? She posted her story today, and it's fabulous! It's Ken/Mike and set after the movie and just reads so plausible to me. You really need to go and read it right now. I'll Be Standing Here By You. Such a lovely story, and so many words of Ken/Mike *_____*

It's been a nice few days. Yesterday we took mam to a hospital appointment. I suspect a hospital admittance is going to happen for her soon, but while serious, nothing life threatening either. After that we took her to a carvery, where she ate much more than I thought she would, and said she enjoyed herself. Then we drove along the coast, checked out a few shops, and it was just this nice, chilled day.

Thursday went to see Ant Man which was pretty fantastic, and of course stayed to see the very end scene credit, which was an excellent decision. I also got some trousers that actually fit right as Evans is about a minutes walk from the cinema. So I got some soft wide legged trousers with a leaf pattern which are just lovely.

Also that day we ordered our new car. When you have a motobility car you have to change it every three years, so for the last month or so we've been going around the garages checking out which car we wanted next. We were torn between a few, and for a while were going to get another Meriva because I really love the glass roof. But, in the end we ordered a Vauxhall Mokka, which is going to look exactly like this. We couldn't decide between that or the electric blue for a long time, but the copper orange really is beautiful, and is a nice change from the silvery grey cars we've had the last three times. Best of all, the deposit is low. Most motability cars have a nil deposit if you get a manual, but as James needs an automatic we've always had to pay much more. The deposits changed while we were looking at cars and the motability specialist phoned on the day they did so and asked James if he was sitting down, so of course we thought they'd shot up. But nope, they'd dropped to only £49, which is all kinds of amazing. So we'll be getting the little orange beauty late Nov or early Dec.
