The weather is still grey and cold so I've had a very lazy day today. I was happily surprised to see the latest season of This Is Us had arrived on Prime so I've started to watch that while catching up on my surveys. Included in which was a weird vocal task where you had to record reactions to photos, apparently it's to see if emotion is evident in your voice when seeing certain things and you could see lovely things such puppies and kittens, and then had to describe the photos or horrible things that you also had to describe. You can guess which one I got.

Meanwhile James has started to list and sell the wood-burning boxes he's been doing. So that's kept him occupied.

I took this photo of Milo and Murphy and am very happy with it )

Two more June Something questions.

What is something that has surprised you about a fandom? Like, you expected the main fandom pairing to be X/Y, but the main pairing in fandom is actually X/Z. Or a pairing you expected to be slashed together isn't very popular?

This is something I've complained about often with [personal profile] sperrywink but why did Magic Mike XXL not have a huge fandom? I don't understand. It has all the foundations for something great, not just the hot male stripper but also kick-ass ladies and while admittedly the plot wasn't anything amazing, fandom has ran with less. I don't get it. Why fandom, why?!

What is your favorite celebrity interaction from any fandom you've had?

This will be meeting Robert Duncan McNeil at a Voyager con at Blackpool in 2001. I actually met the majority of the cast there and there was an amazing moment when Patrick Stewart turned up on stage as an unexpected guest, but nothing comes close to meeting Robert. Yes, he couldn't understand a word I said, yes, I was burnt to a crisp after standing in the sun too long while waiting to register, yes, I felt like a blithering fool as I had to lock my legs as I stood next to him for a photo, but my Tom Paris thing was at full throttle at the time, and 'Tom' was right there.

Runner up moment was the MCR concert at Newcastle. We had pretty good seats at the side of the stage and in addition, the section wasn't that full. I'd been on my feet throughout and when Teenagers was going on was doing the whole arm movement thing and Ray looked to the side, caught my eye and just beamed. Now, he could have been looking at anyone in the section I know, but I like to think he was looking at me and no one will convince me otherwise!

I went looking and found the Newcastle show, see Ray looking to the right, that's where we were. And as I haven't said it for a while, goddamn Mikeyway, you are a hotass!

Well, I must say that led to a very enjoyable MCR video spiral.
