turps: (Wake up!)
In other news, Corey starts back at work today.

He's not going to his usual nightclub but has to turn up at one of the pubs where they'll have safety talks and he'll be assigned to one of the other venues until nightclubs can reopen. The group he works for runs a load of places in Newcastle, including some very high-end ones and Corey suspects he'll end up going to one of those. It'll be a shock to the system I'm sure as he's been furloughed for heading toward four months and has kept his night owl sleep schedule for all of that, but, at least he's still got a job, so many haven't.

I was thrilled the other day when one of my online tasks paid out, so more money paid to the vet bill. I was glad they paid as the task I did was very subjective in terms of results, and only paid 10 cents for each one. But I did thousands over one day, so many my eyes felt like they wanted to roll from my head at the end. So, when I saw the money go into PayPal I was really happy.

[personal profile] frausorge encouraged me to post the drabbles to A03, so I did and was surprised to get some comments. So, that was a good feeling too.

We finally managed to get tickets to the Wetlands yesterday. We can't go until Friday, but I'm looking forward to doing so. It's been far too long since we've been and in that time will have missed the ducklings and goslings being born. I've also started vague plans to get together for a sibs dinner with Kayleigh and Chris. From today pubs, restaurants are open to eat in, though with social distancing in place still, so in a couple of weeks, after the first rush, we're going to head out to eat and catch up.

Annoying news. The remortgage lady was supposed to phone yesterday. We had everything ready, all the forms etc she'd asked us to have ready, and she didn't phone. I've no idea what went on there because it was a fixed appointment that was supposed to last an hour, so it's not like she can phone on the off chance. Guess we'll have to try and get in touch with them on Monday and rearrange for when James is off again.

ETA: OH YAY! James just got a letter saying he won't have to go through another PIP assessment until at least 2030! This is huge news. The PIP assessments are horrible and intrusive and the thought of going through that every few years was intimidating. This means no assessments for ages and our motability cars guaranteed.
