Snowflake Challenge Day 15

I've taken part in every Snowflake, even the first one that was held in a personal journal, so by now, Snowflake feels like the natural start to the year. Some years I've done every challenge, others, only a handful. But each time what I get in a sense of connection and reading things and people that normally I wouldn't. I've also found some good friends via previous Snowflakes, so that's a fantastic bonus.
Snowflake encourages me to read in new fandoms, find out new things and think of my own fannish experiences. Yeah, some of the challenges feel old now, but that's inevitable when some are repeated each year, which of course they should be because new people always arrive and even if I have done some of the challenges many times now, it's fun to try and think of something new to say.
I haven't managed to finish any creative responses yet and didn't link my wishlist to the main comm, but that's fine, I never felt any pressure to do so, which is what I love about Snowflake, the pressure is non-existent.
This year I've enjoyed reading responses, and have laughed often. Been gifted some lovely icons, got some nice feedback to linked fic and generally had fun. I know it'll get to say it on the wrap-up post at the comm, but I will say here too, the mods do an incredible job, making sure every response is read and responded to. So, kudos to them.
And thank you to everyone who has dropped into my journal over the challenge to comment and say hello. It was lovely to 'see' you and I look forward to next year when I may see some of you again.
In other non Snowflake news, I've been watching It's a Sin, the new Russell T Davies show and man, it's intense. I haven't finished it all yet but will be doing that soon. Maybe after watching The Masked Singer tonight.
I'm also about a third into the epic Downton Abbey fic that was recced by a few people and am enjoying every word. Though have to be strict with myself or else would be reading for hours and not get a thing done. At nearly 527k I suspect I'll be reading for a while yet.
