Feb. 4th, 2021 10:24 amI suspect a nap may be in my future today as I was awake far too early. That wasn't helped by having mild indigestion, which had to have been caused by a pasta bake I'd made for tea, so strike that off the list of meals to make.
The ceiling in the toilet looks terrible now. The downstairs toilet is on the side of the house and it caught the brunt of the heavy rain for nearly two days solid. That was also the place we had the wasps nest, so I suspect that weakened the structure so yesterday we had to make a hole to drain the pooling water before the whole lot came down. Thankfully with it being such a small space it shouldn't take long to re-plaster, but of course, it's pointless doing that until the gap is sealed that let the water in in the first place. So, for now, there's a pan in the toilet catching any stray drips as it's still raining today, though thankfully, nowhere near as heavy.
James finally got his hospital telephone appointment yesterday. He was at work at the time but they allowed him to stay in an empty room in the hour the consultant was supposed to ring. The conclusion was the pain he's feeling is scarring left from the kidney stones so the consultant is going to tell James' doctor to put him on the powerful antibiotics for a month, but if that doesn't work he needs to be referred to the pain clinic. Hopefully, it doesn't come to that as he's already on a cocktail of powerful morphine-based controlled drugs along with a load of others, and any changes always come along with side effects as they try to achieve a new balance.

pensnest. It's a very lovely and engaging Lance Bass/Adam Lambert story that's nicely long, so I spent many happy hours reading as the rain lashed down outside. Apart from what I've seen on my flist and a few Glee and Queen based performances I don't really know Adam, or his friends, that well. But that didn't matter at all, the story still pulled me in and held on until the end. So yes, I recommend it.
We also watched the last episode of It's a Sin last night. ( cutting for spoilers )
Not a spoiler, the It's a Sin soundtrack on Spotify
