Milo had to go to the vets on Monday. He wasn't eating well and wouldn't even look at his pill pockets so wouldn't take his steroids and I was worried enough to get him an appointment. Turns out he's fine, he's put on weight since Dec and is now over 6.5kg again and his bloods came back okay, with his kidney disease pretty much at the same levels and his infection markers down.
That same day the pill putty I ordered came and after wrapping his tablet in that he ate it fine. On one hand, it's frustrating as it was a bunch of money on the bill for nothing, but on the other, his bloods need testing regularly anyway, so I'm taking it we just did them earlier than planned.
The next day we had to take Megan to the vet as Kayleigh was at work. For the people who've just started to read here Megan was mam's cat and when mam died Megan went to live with Kayleigh, my sister, and she pays for the day to day things and we pay for the insurance, and thank goodness she has that insurance as Megan has a skin condition that means monthly vet visits with steroid and antibiotic injections each month. The vets are still drop and go so that was another 90 minutes sitting in the car outside.
Kayleigh had her first COVID jab on Monday and unfortunately got hit by some bad side effects and is still feeling miserable today. But, hopefully, she'll be feeling better by tomorrow.
Company Shop had a special on some of their bulk products, including a 4kg bag of Quorn fillets for £2. I got myself a bag, and also one for Kayleigh as she also eats a lot of Quorn, only to find out she had no room in her freezer. So I now have 8kg of Quorn fillets to eat my way through. Good job I like the things.
We had a family Teams meeting with my SiL, Bil, MiL and her social worker and my SiL and BiL are now days away from being discharged from social services supervision, which is great. We just had to say we're there for backup if they ever need it, which of course we always will be, and that was that.
I was out for my walk/letter delivery and back home by 9 am this morning. I've got a parcel coming with a different brand of pill pockets between 9 and 1 so decided to get out and back early. Of course, the parcel has only just been delivered now, at 12:50. So in time, but I didn't need to rush.
It was the anniversary of when I met James last week, 29 years which is a ridiculous amount of time. I got him a card from Moonpig but he didn't-- which is understandable considering we're actually married now and had an official marriage anniversaryary. But still, I'll hold the high ground for a while *g* But yeah, 29 years, thank goodness for dodgy nightclubs, sticky carpets, pink kangaroo drinks and places that looked to one side in terms of underage drinking.
