Sep. 25th, 2023 08:22 amThe craft fair went really well on Saturday, much better than I expected tbh. I'd joked previously about being set up in one of the consultation rooms at the vets, but that was exactly where we were. Just, they'd taken the examination table out and set up a folding table instead, but it did mean all the goods could be set out on the table and counters, and it was like we had our own little shop.
pensnest your tips helped loads and a knitting bowl, complete with a burned sheep on the inside bottom, was one of the first things to go. The little mice were really popular, too. So all in all, a good time and I got to have a natter with a lot of other cat lovers and have some kitten cuddles.
Talking of.
To set the scene, the cat cuddles happened upstairs, so James went up first, leaving me to watch the stall. He came back delighted about a black and white cat who looked like a young Milo but with a black nose patch like Freesia.
A little later I went up, and said little black and white kitten was sparked out fast asleep on the couch and I spent time stroking his soft belly, and took some photos.
The fair ended, and as we had a stall we could go up together and see the kittens and cats while it was quieter. James asked CatladyKay, the shelter owner, advise if Murphy would get along with a boy or girl cat, and she said as he was used to living with both, either would be fine.
She also said that the black and white kitten would be having an operation ( cut for medical details and also, meet Kevin )
All going well he'll be coming home to us in a month after his ops, on his eye and to be fixed. Kevin was already his name so as funny as I find it, he wasn't actually named after BSB Kevin, but as I like the name he's keeping it.
I did ask if the eye situation would cause issues insurance wise, because one thing I knew for a fact was, another animal wasn't setting foot into our house unless we had top of the range insurance for it. But CatLadyKay said it wouldn't cause an issue at all. So yeah, I said a cat would find us at the right time, and apparently that was Saturday, and that was Kevin.
