Apr. 11th, 2004 08:44 pmWe've just came in after a day at the lakes, which started far too early may I say. But we've had a good day, set off about 9 with a picnic I'd made the night before. (Turkey and pease pudding sandwiches, crisps and coke. Perfect) We took the in laws and because it was so early I was allowed to be in charge of music, which meant CDs of sdbs all day apart from the charts. ( Must say here, I nearly died when MiL started talking about Busted. All I could think about was Charlie and her Busted slash *eg* )
It took a couple of hours to get to the Lakes then we chilled out with our picnic, feeding the ducks and just kicking back. We spent more time on the road than anything, but it was worth it. Easy conversation, lots of laughs, beautiful scenery and good music. Then to top it all, the MiL gave me two big bars of Toblerone for Easter, so now I have three. Well, two and a bit, which will soon only be two as I'm eating one now.
I think JC was on Radio One while I was out, the problem was we'd stopped in this little village so James could buy some gingerbread and the reception sucked. I tried to fix it but sorta made it worse. And you know what? Even though I was shouting out of the car window to hurry up because JC was on, James still sauntered back as slow as anything, the annoying man that he is ;)
So now I'm going to catch up on the flist and finish mailing
castalieas James decided he needed to plan our route last night, even though we always get lost when we use the online route planner. Usually because I'm a bit of a Blair Sandburg in the navigation department. I can read a map, but by the time I see where the next turn is we're well past it *g*
Chocolate, coffee, flist, mail and some smut reading later. A perfect night I think.
