Oct. 21st, 2004 09:04 pmBad things today. Needing to take Corey to the doctors as he has to come home early from the circus last night feeling ill. I thought he'd escaped the back to school germs but they were sneaky and waited until now. The poor thing also got nabbed for his flu jab while we were there but he was a star and had it fine. Unlike his dad who had to stay outside as he hates needles *g*
Getting a call from one of the people we owe money to. Despite it being sorted out this woman asked James why he hadn't declared himself bankrupt or sold our house to pay back some debts. Then when he said we'd have nowhere to live she said house prices where we live are cheap and we'd get something. So yeah, threaten us then stereotype where we live, nice going.
Managing to sit on the paint tin lid and subsequently get paint all over the carpet and my favourite comfy nighty.
Two old women who stared at James when we had to go food shopping and wouldn't look away while they blatantly talked about us.
I still haven't caught up with the flist, sentinel secrets stories or all of the F5s.
Embarrassing things: Unloading the shopping from the car while it was windy and having my skirt fly over my head and having no way to get it down without dropping all the bags.
Good things: Corey is getting better already.
We finished a corner of the living room, now all we have to do is move the bookshelves in the morning when the paint is dry.
The SiL may still be pregnant, she has to go for a scan as they think she may have been carrying twins and one is still alive. Still devastating about the other baby but she's happy about this other one.
Reading about a group of people doing something online that shows me that most people are basically good.
Sitting planning a long story and knowing that there's no deadline and I can do it at my own pace, a page a week if I want until its done.
Pineapple Bacardi breezers cooling in the fridge and stories to read.
TrickC, Choey, Timbertrick and Trickyfish. Just because :D

Date: 2004-10-21 01:27 pm (UTC)That woman was the worst busybody. She had him on the phone for ages wanting to know all the ins and outs of things we've sorted out ages ago. Like you said, do your job and go, she had no right to say what she did.

Date: 2004-10-21 02:06 pm (UTC)Poor Corey. Being sick sucks. But I'm glad he's getting better already.
Note to self (and to you too): Don't wear a skirt when it's windy.... ;-þ
I'd help you with the £££ thing if I could. Barely staying afloat meself though. :-/ I hope you can pay the money back to that woman soon though, to get her off your backs. The people I owe money to are quite understanding, thankfully.
About those women staring - I'd love to get that t-shirt I've seen both AJ and Joey sport: "Keep staring - I might do a trick"! Sometimes I tell myself people stare because they like my haircut or my clothes or something. Because sometimes it's true. Of course, it still sucks when people stare just because you're different from their take on 'normal'.
*more hugs*

I just thought that was incredibly funny and I've had such a ROTTEN day, I needed the laugh -- and I'm sure had I been wearing a skirt today, the same damn thing would have happened.

Date: 2004-10-22 02:39 am (UTC)Thank you, honey. That was just what I needed.
*smooshes you back*
How are you anyway? There seems to be a lack of updates from you and that always worries me.
Love the icon too.

I'm sorry you had such a rotten day, sweetheart. I'm glad I could lighten it a little for you.

Date: 2004-10-22 03:34 am (UTC)*grrrrr* at finance woman - in fact, if you have a payment plan agreed and in place and you're making those payments, isn't it illegal for them to be harraasing you?
*snuggles*

Date: 2004-10-22 03:44 am (UTC)The finance woman was well out of order. We've reported her to her superiors as there is a plan in action and it's being paid. It's nothing to do with her if she thinks its not enough. Her bosses do and that's all that matters.
*snuggles with you*

Thanks, Kim.

Date: 2004-10-22 03:53 am (UTC)Corey's much better today. All it took was a day snuggling on the couch and some medicine and he was fine. If only everything was that easy.
LOL. I was so embarrassed when my skirt did that, especially as there were people about!
It means a lot you saying that. Thank you, honey. But we're actually in a better situation now than we were a while ago. We have plans with most people that we owe money to it's just this one place that overstepped the boundarie.
I'd love a t-shirt like that too. I agree sometimes people will look because of something good but when you've heard so many people say negative things, or when you see them mimic how James' hands are you get paranoid that every stare is a negative one. Some people annoy the hell out of me with their pre conceived ideas about what's normal.

Yeah. They have no idea.

*eg* (you are aware that I am laughing at you, not with you? (j/k))

Good, good. *keeps fingers crossed*
I'd love a t-shirt like that too.
I googled for it, there seems to be several online stores that carry it. Here's (http://www.wiztees.com/keepstarimig.html) one.

Of course. And sadly most stares are because we're "different". I get the "you're so talented being able to *insert whatever here* all by yourself" a lot form old ladies. I'm sure they think it makes me happy to hear it, but it just makes me feel like a total freak.
Some people annoy the hell out of me with their pre conceived ideas about what's normal.
Ooooh yeah. I like being me. It would be boring to be like everybody else. ;-)
Of course, with me being the DQ and all, I'm getting curious about James's hands.... ;-þ *shakes head @ self*
Hugs and snugglies are the best. :-D

Date: 2004-10-26 08:31 am (UTC)I cannot believe that lady. people like that need to get over themselves. if you've worked the stuff out, then she needs to relax. she'll get her money back. grrrr.
also, my friend Mette, had a twin that died before birth. I don't know the whole story, but yeah.
mmmmmmm bacardi breezers!
