Jan. 25th, 2005 12:46 pmI really think if you start a sentence with the words, 'I really shouldn't say this but...' you shouldn't bloody well say it because if you do only badness lies ahead. Which is left over annoyance from yesterday so I'll end it there.
This has to be a flyby post as the in laws are coming. The FiL to finish painting the kitchen, the rest to drive me insane. No, that's not fair, it's just my niece is sick right now and the SiL said she'll bring her to mine for the afternoon to get her out of the house for a few hours, which just strikes me as a stupid thing to do. But hey, if they all want to sit here while the house is filled with paint fumes and I can't get to the kitchen to make them drinks etc who am I to stop them, I'll just sit here and work on being cranky, not that it takes much work *g*
Part of the problem is I'm tired, I was up late anyway and then ended watching tv in bed which was stupid on a school night. Secondly I have inferior coffee! The coffee man isn't due until tomorrow and I ran out *cries* The stuff that was bought until then just isn't the same. It's like coke. You have your 'real' coke which to me is Coca Cola or Pepsi, I don't care which. The rest are impostors that are an insult to the coke name. I'll drink other cheap pop but coke has to be one of those two brands or it just doesn't taste right. Same with this coffee, it's wrong, I mean I'll drink it because, hello, coffee but it's weak and doesn't look right in my mug.
I'm expecting them any minute now, I've done a quick tidy so all the couches are clear, have hovered, washed up, shoved a wash on, loaded the dryer, cleaned the benches and took some stuff upstairs. Oh and I also discovered if you burn a pan of pasta ( which is still that Kirkpatrick's fault for biting on that lolly so sexily ) and then forget about it under a pile of kitchen stuff that's been moved the pasta congeals and can be peeled out like a thick skin. Isn't that something? And disgusting, I know.
Cleaning up I found a new love for Gone. It used to be one of the songs I liked the least but as I rushed about Justin wailing 'Gone!' became a thing of beauty. Just pretend I didn't slip that in to use my new knowledge of making lines in posts *g*
I'd better go. Fingers crossed my annoying BiL is at work and can't come.

Date: 2005-01-25 01:16 pm (UTC)Hope the iL's leave you with some sanity. Also, here's to hoping you don't start singing the "gone" part of Gone over and over and have them think you rude (and kicking them out). *giggle* It's early and I hope that made sense.
*runs off*

Anyway, hope the visit from the in laws is not too bad! *hugs*

Date: 2005-01-25 03:02 pm (UTC)He was gone. As painful as it was for Justin to think like that, still he thought it would be less painful than to keep your hopes up and then be disappointed. Because the doctor had said that the chances of Chris even surviving were slim, and that if he did, there would be serious permanent damage. And not just to his body, but his mind as well.

*calls over musae spokesperson* "We are currently in negotiations about where to take this story. This could take a while as we are experiencing hardware problems as well as financial ones, but we are working on it. Thank you for your patience."

Date: 2005-01-25 03:30 pm (UTC)wait, basically, she's bringing a germpool to your place? that sounds. not very well planned.
there's this 'brand' of coke here that's called 'jolly cola' and dude, that is the foulest crap you have never tasted. I'm not kidding. I'm intolerant to even pepsi, I think it's too sweet, and jolly is sweeter, almost cherry coke-ish ( which I hate ) and then, just, bad.

Date: 2005-01-26 07:12 pm (UTC)Yeah, she was a germpool. I mean I get when you have a sick toddler getting out of the house is a good thing but that means a quick walk or something not a 9 hour visit.
I hate bad coke with a passion. It's just ick and that's not right at all.

Date: 2005-01-26 08:14 pm (UTC)there's a reason you don't bring sick children to school. it's called germs.
also, really. there should be a law against bad coke.

The only thing better than Justin singing Gone is Justin singing Gone in Spanish.

I'm a relentless purist for coke - diet coke, not pepsi, or coke light, let alone any of the other perversions upon the name of cola. Or, you know, diet vanilla crack. Lemonade and whatever? Tesco 30p stuff - bring it on. Cola's got to be the real thing though!
*snuggles some more*
good luck!

Date: 2005-01-26 07:18 pm (UTC)I'm with you on the coke thing, except I like pepsi too. All other kinds of pop can be cheap, we drink a load of Morrison's 19p lemonade, but Coke's different, it has to be the real thing. Ha, I sound like an advert.
*snuggles with you*
I survived to slash another day!
