turpsI had so much fun yesterday. I hadn't forgotten how to change nappies but had forgot how tiring a 2 year old can be when you can't take your eyes of them for a second. But we had a good time at the park then playing at home, and having someone so small fall asleep in your arms is just one of the best feelings ever, so much trust and love contained in such a tiny person. However, there's huge pluses to being able to send them home at the end of the day *g*
Today is all about getting ready to go out tonight as we're off to an engagement party with assorted in laws. I'm sure you can all imagine my excitement.
Moving on, the memes are flying around here lately and I feel the need to join in.
List five fictional people -- from television, movies, books, whatever -- that you had a crush on as a child (or early teens). Then post this on your LiveJournal so other people can know what a dork you've always been.
Joe Hardy from the Hardy Boys books. I've said before that I collected those but I had such a huge crush on Joe. 17 year old, blond, blue eyes, an inch shorter and stockier than his older brother Frank. Loves sports and very impulsive, what's not to love? A bonus was he was always getting knocked out and for a h/c whore like me that was such a good thing. One book, The Shaw Road Mystery I think, he was knocked off his bike by a wire across the road and ended in hospital, I must have read that bit a thousand times.
Chekov from Star Trek. I loved his hair and accent, now when I watch the show I want to slap him every time he mentions his home land.
Tom Hanson from 21 Jump Street, which is a crush that's lasted to today. Man, I loved him and babysat two horrible kids just because their parents had satellite tv so I could watch the show.

Face from the A-Team, which just makes the fact I was slashing the guy so many years later so much more amusing.
I had fun taking people's quizzes even though by the end I was going to use a false name I was getting so many bad scores. I was so tempted to do some after I saw the answers and get at least one high score but was good and resisted. The highest score people got for my quiz was 70 which is about right, I think there's only one person who knows all my fannish history, the rest of the people on my flist are divided between the media or pop with no cross overs.

Way back in the mists of time, what was my first fannish pairing? Jim/Blair, Chakotay/Paris, Chris/Lance, Paris/Torres.
Answer is Paris/Torres. Yes, back in the midst of time I was a het shipper and belonged to a load of shipper mailings lists. It makes me laugh thinking about it now but at the time I was so a P/T fan.
What pairing opened my eyes to the world of slash? Chakotay/Paris, Jim/Blair, Chris/JC, Paris/Kim.
Answer is Chakotay/Paris. I've mentioned this a few times but one day I had no more good het stories to read so went to the slash section of Yahoo groups. I'd noticed the slash section a few times but didn't check it out as I don't like horror films. That day I did and had a religious experience right there and then when I read a C/P and had the realisation that I wasn't the only one!

My first real full length story in The Sentinel was about... bdsm, Jim longing for Blair, blood/knife kink, Jim cheating on Blair for Rafe.
Answer is the blood/knife kink one, for which I'll blamecastalie again. I wanted to write her a birthday story so wrote one. The fact it was for her helped me actually write the thing as I found the trick to writing something good isn't the actual writing process it's the editing after. I have to laugh because I was so green back then, blundering onto a TS mailing list set up to help writers with this story that was all info dumps and endless paragraphs. Thankfully some kind fans took me under their wing and I ended with a story that's stood the test of time, sort of *g*
Why do I love Brennan/Jesse so much? They're two great guys who look hot together, what's not to love? Their love is canon....etc. Jesse can mass his cock....etc. All of the above.
Answer is, all of them. They do look great together, Brennan did say to Jesse that he loves him. He loves him! It's canon! The last part may be something I've thought of often and may not have been mentioned in canon but I know it's true anyway!
I honestly like all popslash pairings, but if I had to pick, which one of these would I read last? JuC, Joshtin, Lambs, JoLa
This was sort of a trick question unless you've been keeping up with my posts about Joshtin ...shudder. I may be in a minority with this but I totally think JuC and Joshtin are two different pairings and I don't like Joshtin at all. JuC, yes. Joshtin, hell no!
What makes me shudder and twitch the most in a story? Josh and Justy ...gag. Chris written as a hyperactive idiot, crying to excess, Lance being called James.
I guess this was mean as I hate them all and have posted about them all too, but really the Josh and Justy thing makes me want to throw things so that's the answer. Man, just no! If anyone wants to finish me off write me a story about Josh and his twu luv Justy as they cry dainty crystal tears from cerulean orbs and simper over ickle puppies as Joey shouts for James while Chris stands vibrating in a corner and saying stupid things after eating bags of sugar.
I honestly don't have a OTP but what pairing would I go to first if given four stories to read?
