Two good things. First, it's the birthday of one of the coolest people on LJ, so happy birthday dreamtrance I hope you're having a fantastic day! *squishes you*

Also, we have a cat :)

We got a call from a shelter earlier saying they still didn't have any kittens but did have a young cat if we were interested. She's spayed, has had her injections and is just gorgeous. We took Tex for a dog test which he passed so could bring Moffet home. I'm glad we got a rescue cat, she was found on the streets so if she can have a good home with us that'll be wonderful.

It's weird having a cat in the house as it's the first one we've had. I'll be standing in the kitchen and she'll brush past my legs then earlier she decided my shoulder was a good place to sleep *g* She's been under the kitchen benches, on top of the tv, along all the couches, sat watching the fish for hours and now is fast asleep on the couch .

Rescue cats are the best. My one is from a shelter, the other was found in an alleyway. They're my odd little ducks.

My mom seems to be a Stray magnet. Every cat (except one) that she has had for years has been a former stray. She moved 2 hours away - and the strays still find her. LOL

Daniel's sort of a rescue cat--I didn't get him from a shelter, but the people who had him when he was eeny tiny had a full grown tom cat. Said tom cat was not particularly interested in sharing his home with another tom (they thought Daniel was a girl at first, but the tom cat was not fooled for a second). Big!Tom was trying diligently to kill eeny!Daniel. They couldn't leave him at home alone, and had to take him everywhere--they were desperate for someone to take him before he got et.

And voila! He's now the king of my apartment, in his own mind, at least.

Aw, kitty. She reminds me a little of my old cat (though add a bunch of ginger) with the long fur, the shape of her face and the markings around the eyes. And we were her slaves for over 15 years *g*.

Corey and James love her, except for a few claw marks when she got too enthusiastic playing ;) Tex has his nose put out right now. He's getting on with her, but is really jealous and won't come out of his bed, so he's been getting extra cuddles.

There's were so many rescue animals needing home. I wish I could have taken them all :(
