Happy birthday, [livejournal.com profile] girl_clone I hope you have a fantastic day!

I can't believe it's Wednesday already. But it is and a quick recap of the week so far. The bootsale went really well, we made money and cleared a load of junk from the house which is always a plus. We're doing another one this weekend so fingers crossed more junk will go and more money will be made.

Monday while I was waiting for Corey two schoolboys decided it would be funny to come sit either side of me on the wall. I was the only person sitting there so there was no need at all to sit like that. They made their mouths go thinking they were funny and thought they'd catch me of guard by saying they like fucking, so I told the little wankers that they needed dicks big enough to fuck with before doing any fucking, which they though was amusing. They didn't freak me or anything because they're only stupid early teen boys, except they maybe kind of did flanking me and sitting that close.

Corey brought his list home for things he needs to take to Cub camp and man, he's going to need a suitcase not a backpack. Wellies, trainers, waterproofs, hats and suncream. They'll be well prepared at least. He asked me when he could come home himself this morning which is something I've never considered to be honest. It's a pretty safe journey home, only crossing one mainly quiet road, but still. I think we'll wait a bit, it was only last week he went to the shop on his own and that's crossing no roads at all.

James was offered a new job today with better pay. It's subject to references but they should be okay. The extra money is needed badly so fingers crossed it all goes well.

Dr Who was so creepy this weekend *shudders* I can't wait to see the second part on Sat.

Fannish wise the story for lambs day is going really well. I had a breakthrough last night and now it looks like it's going to be an actual story and not just a ficlet. But man, could I have left it any later to get started? I was thinking about what I've written and if I pull of this lambs story I'll have done, trickc, choey, trickyfish, timbertrick, juc, jola, joec and lambs. I may have to fill in the pairing gaps one day ;) No Sucker on Friday, it's to cry I tell you. How will I survive until Monday or even Tuesday without knowing if Justin will break down totally and hoping Satan!Brian gets hit by a truck. That's my wish anyway, then it could hit Kevin and all of O Town except Dan and Trevor. They can live. In fact the truck should run over Jacob a few times just to make sure he's dead.

To finish I was tagged by [livejournal.com profile] castalie to do the fannish meme. Thanks, sis ;)

1) Total number of fandoms I like:

Popslash
The Sentinel
Mutant X
X Files
Voyager
Highlander
Numb3rs
Andromeda

Those are the main ones anyway.

2) My first fandom ever:

The first fandom I read any fanfic in was for Poltergeist the Legacy. I used to go to the library and print out stories and bring them home. In fact just a few days ago I found a huge printout of a Nick Boyle story where he was turned into a kid, but only in his mind. His body stayed the same. I loved that story so much, Nick Boyle, ex Navy Seal playing with toys under Derek's watchful gaze *g* But the first fandom I actually joined was Voyager, and yes I was a Paris/Torres shipper before it's brought up. :P

3) My most recent fandom:

Numb3rs! Charlie/Don 4eva!!!111!!

4) Five fandoms that currently mean a lot to me (in order of preference): with explanations:

Popslash. I love this fandom for so many reasons. I've some fantastic friends that I've met through popslash and I feel comfortable and accepted here. I'm nuts over Chris and love both the 'real' Chris and the slashy one too. I love reading about him in stories, the way different people give him different spins and the way the dynamics can change depending on partner. There's some outstanding writers in this fandom and I have to read something most days, I have old favourites that I revisit over and over but there's always new stuff coming through too that I enjoy. This fandom can piss me off something rotten but compared to the good times that's nothing. I love the fic, I love the guys, I love the people, I love the fact I can act like I'm 12 and no one gives a damn, I love the footage and the music and how damn generous people are sharing it. Right now popslash is my home and has been for a long time and somehow I doubt that's going to change.

The Sentinel. The first fandom I wrote in so it'll always be special. Plus Jim/Blair, the most obviously slashy non couple on tv. Lets face it some of the episodes sucked and TS will never win any awards for creative brilliance, but that doesn't matter, it's all about Jim and Blair and their friendship and love. That show made me cry, Sentoo, and want to put my foot through my screen, TSbyBS, but mostly I enjoyed two guys who obviously loved one another deeply. Plus, I made some awesome friends in TS fandom and it introduced me to 852 Prospect which has to be the best archive ever.

Mutant X. In a lot of ways this fandom was soured for me, things happening that still hurt to this day. But that doesn't mean the happy times are any less. I'm still proud of my MX slash archive and I met some really good friends because of that show. The show went to hell a bit in the last seasons but at its core it's still about the people I love, Brennan especially, making a difference in the world.

Voyager. Like I said it was my first real fandom. I was such a newbie and joined several Paris/Torres shipper lists which directed me to archives that I devoured. I didn't make any friends because I was scared and intimidated by all these people who seemed to know one another but still, I knew being a fan online was for me. Then one day I ran out of P/T stories and remembered that I'd seen this weird thing called slash in the Voyager category at Yahoogroups. I clicked on that link and came home. My first Voyager story was a Paris n/c fic and I loved it and was a great first step into slash for my darkfic loving self. Tom Paris is my favourite guy in Voyager and I loved reading him with Harry and Chakotay especially but really I'd read anything with him in it, heck, I read Tom/Nelix and enjoyed it ;)

X Fliles. It's all about Mulder for me. Mulder and his rat, Mulder and his boss. Either's fine by me. X Files fandom is full of kink and darkfic and I loved it. Anything I could imagine had been written and believe me I could imagine plenty. XF developed my kinky side and taught me I wasn't alone in liking the dark stuff.

I'm glad the car boot sale went well. Matt and I should really go to one to get rid of some of the junk we seem to have accumulated over the years ^^;! I hope that Corey enjoys his camp and that James gets his new job *crosses fingers*!

they're only stupid early teen boys

*nods* Yeah, I really don't know what they think that they are trying to prove, because all they are showing is their immaturity.

Dr Who was so creepy this weekend *shudders*

*grins* You already know that I am in complete agreement with you there!

The first fandom I read any fanfic in was for Poltergeist the Legacy

Wow, the same as [livejournal.com profile] babycakesin and [livejournal.com profile] castalie! Before today, I didn't even realise there was a fandom for this ^^;!

Carboot sales are wonderful for getting rid of junk, it's amazing what people will buy from them. It just shows that what you think is rubbish is someone else's treasure, and I know there's a real saying but I can't remember it off hand *g*

I think Corey will have a blast, somehow I think he'll come home with filthy clothes and his soap untouched *g*

*nods* Yeah, I really don't know what they think that they are trying to prove, because all they are showing is their immaturity.

Totally. I was pissed off when I was walking home because there's no need for it at all The lack of respect that some people have always amazes me, and wow for me sounding like my nanna!

*grins* You already know that I am in complete agreement with you there!

You know if my phone had gone when I was watching that I don't think I would have answered it. Just in case it was someone wanting his mommy *shudders again*

Well the PtL fandom is very small but it is there. It just happened that show was the one I was watching when I first discovered the internet so of course I did a websearch on it and found the fanfic sites. I've always had a thing for Nick/Philip, there's something about a slashy churchman that gets me every time ;)

That's like what happened to me when I walked past some 10 or 12 year old looking punks that went "Chinky chinky chinky!" in this sing-song voice. Except I was listening to the leaked Backstreet tracks and bopping along to Poster Girl. I half wanted to turn back and tell them, "Now look here, you want to heckle, at least learn how to heckle properly."

Yay on the successful bootsale! And good luck on James' new job. [crosses fingers and toes and eyes self]

And you, with the Lambs! Seems like my Lambs day contribution is going to, y'know, not exist. [g]

Thank you!

I'm really quite surprised at the lambs thing. It'll be the last pure lambs thing I do I tell you! ;)

It's a shame you won't have anything, I'm sure it would have been great.

So RL wise first: hail to the making money at the bootsale and hail and fingers crossed for Jim and the new job *fingers crossed* You made me LOL at the teeny boys story, you go sis!

CL wise now, love your answers *g* And not just because we share some fandoms and kinks, of course not *shakes head* I also just love the idea of us both going to the same XF Kinky High school! lol

Also re:In fact just a few days ago I found a huge printout of a Nick Boyle story where he was turned into a kid, but only in his mind. OMG I remember that story! lol Not the title though, could you give it to me, please? If I go on a hunt, I might find it again? The series I remember the most is the the "No Son of Mine" series where Nick is raped/abused/tortured/kidnapped/enslaved/traumatised by like, strangers and his father and... a lot of people. Actually I think I printed it out too so I'll have to go and read it again lol That series is the one I spent a whole evening telling Babycakes in Pekin once *facepalm* But every now and then I would stop and see if she asked me to go on. And she kept asking me, so like, I kept telling the dark story, you know? lol I remember us going to the cafeteria to have diner - hence making a real break in the story telling - and after we were done, she asked me to finish the story, so we sat on the ground - it was still sunny and warm - and students were playing basket ball and stuff and I finished my story telling... man, I'm so fucking nostalgic of that summer!

I think they expected me to sit there and ignore them or something, which I probably would have done if I were walking, but as I had to sit there I had to say something. Very satisfying it was too ;)

I'm so pleased that the lambs is happening. Will I write it again? No way, but at least it's another pairing crossed off the list. I was surprised when I realised how many of them I'd actually written. I guess that's what happens when you join so many challenges *g* And yes! Justin porn from you would be a good thing!

*smooches you*

That truck should definitely run over Jacob several times.

I love your descriptions of TS and XF. TS was the first fandom I wrote in, and it's very special to me. And I'm glad I'm not the only one who liked Mulder with either Skinner *or* Krycek. It never mattered to me, as long as he was with somebody.

Oh heck yes. He's right up there with the villains of the story. He's so damn annoying!

TS will always be special to me too. I doubt I could go back into the fandom full time now but it'll always hold a place in my heart. And yeah, Mulder was just perfect with either Skinner or Krycek. I'd happily read either pairing or even better, all three.
