I'd say sorry for posting this when it's been posted by so many other people, but to be honest I'm not sorry at all.

Today has been a long ass day. I saw my nurse and she wanted to know what the doctor at the hospital had to say as my leg hasn't been getting better for a while. While I was under his care she couldn't change the treatment he'd prescribed so she was expecting him to change the dressing or something, as it is he did nothing and discharged me. She was pretty shocked at that, especially at the fact he just pulled back the dressing, looked at my skin then put the same dressing back on. But at least now I'm discharged she can change the treatment herself, which is good because I've seen her every week since September last year and she knows things aren't getting better. It's so frustrating. But in the scheme of things it's a small thing so it's not worth worrying about really.

After that we went to meet the in laws at Sunderland. We found them in the Winter Gardens and spent time walking with my niece to see the plants and fish before heading off to look around the shops. Which means my feet are aching like crazy just now after tramping around for ages. While walking plans were made to have a bbq at my house so they all came back here. Keira was in the paddling pool and next thing I knew James came out too and jumped in *g* Corey joined them when he came home from school and really they just had fun together. The BiL cooked and I did the prep work, cutting buns and making jacket potatoes because I'm good at things like that ;) It was a fun afternoon, though Keira got a shock when she realised James only has the one leg, she looked so worried when she was looking at his baby leg.

But yes, it was a good afternoon and now I need a good shower as I stink of smoke. Then a lie on the bed as I read the last few pages of Talliswood before Big Brother at 10. Yes my life is just that exciting, I know you're all jealous ;)

Well I have lymphodemia which means my legs swell pretty bad but I'm going to the drs because I got a bad infection in my leg last September which ended in two ulcers that are healing really slowly. They don't hurt or anything but after nearly a year of daily dressings and bags of sterile stuff everywhere I get cheesed off sometimes. But like I said to Eva I can walk just fine and that's all that matters, and a long skirt hides a lot ;)

Enjoy the rest of your time off. I'm sure you will now you can breathe again :)

I actually made cakes two days ago. They were from a packet, you know the kind that kids make with cartoons on the top? Well the actual cakes were great. The icing? Not so much. I added too much water and ended with runny stuff, so decided to add flour. At which point I ended up with stuff resembling cement....sigh.

The problem was at the time I was pretty intimidated at seeing him. I always am when I have to see the main consultants. So when I was rushed in and out I didn't say anything.

To be honest it's probably better the nurse takes over now. She's been seeing me for nearly a year and in that time I've seen the main Dr twice for maybe 10 minutes. I know he's supposed to be the expert but in this case I know who I'd trust more.

It's Chris and JC from Nsync, who are sort of my OTP for the group.

They were at Joey's ( another group member) wedding and Chris just latched onto JC so hard.
