James and Corey came in looking like two drowned rats earlier. They'd gone to the air show despite it mizzling horribly since yesterday, and finally gave up and came home when they both got soaked through. So they're in their PJs now looking through the goodie bags they got while complaining about not getting close to the choppers. Just after they got back it was on the news that all the planes were grounded due to the weather, but that wasn't the thing that caught my attention, because they showed people walk past the stalls in the rain, and there were my boys, looking totally shifty as they scuttled past the camera *g*

I've been writing today and as of now the story stands at 25 pages in Word, which isn't that much I know but it's 4 times as long as what I've done lately. There's also loads left to go which is a little intimidating, but I love writing in this universe, especially when the story starts to flow again. I've decided the best thing to do is just go for it in terms of this first draft, then go through after and change and improve before sending off to the betas. Of course that's well in the future so I'm not going to worry about that for ages yet. It just feels good to write what I want without a challenge deadline, I should try it more often. So. I guess this is a warning to all you awesome people that help me when needed that I may be hitting you up soon, when I realise I've lost the plot once again *g*

Moving on, I was amusing myself by making an animated Just Letters icon. I totally stole the idea from seiyaharris so hopefully she'll forgive me. It's trickc, it's animated. What can I say? How long I keep it I don't know as animated icons and me have a shaky relationship but it's there for now.

Before I go, all you trickc people have joined onlyonearound right? It's a cool community with some interesting stuff going on right now.

The footage keeps getting shown on the local news and every time I have to laugh because they really do look shifty. I suppose most people do when they notice a camera on them, that or do something stupid *g*

I hope it stops raining by tomorrow, especially as I'm supposed to go then. I can't imagine how much money was wasted today with the planes being grounded :(

True *g* I suppose it depends on what you've been reading. I've been reading on Jordan a lot lately so loaded him with epics, and compared to that my 25 pages is nothing. But considering most of my stuff has been around the 6-9 page mark lately to me those 25 pages seem like 25 hundred.

You should have seen them, they were soaked to the skin despite wearing coats, but yeah, they are sort of famous now. The guy they went with taped the section so he could show everyone *g*

whatever hit this last time got mom and dad too. Dad thinks it was a bit of food poisoning and that I lucked out and didn't get it as bad as them since my stomach was wonky and I hadn't eaten as much as they had.

all I know is that my birthday is less than 2 weeks away and Mom promised me that we'd go to the Thai place for lunch. I better not still be sick then or I'm going to be pissed. I was sick last year for my bday and my bday lunch was posponed and then we never went at all.

Well, like I was saying to Mouse above it depends. It doesn't seem a lot in terms of what other people write, for me it is *g* The most I've ever done was about 60 pages for Boxes but every other story has been around 9.

Anyway, it's not the length but what you do with it. He stroked his felt! *flails*

True, but sometimes it wouldn't be so bad to write something longer. I can't even remember what the longest story was I ever wrote. I doubt it was more than 10 - 15 pages, though.
