Oct. 14th, 2005 03:08 pmIt was Corey's parent's evening last night and we went to meet his teacher. He's doing really well, except she says he's very quiet in a group. I wonder where he gets that from? ;)

clear_my_eyes, ten moments of happiness.
(1) Hearing my son say he loves me.
(2) Snuggling in bed with James.
(3) Driving at night listening to good music.
(4) Watching tv with my dog lying next to me and my cat lying curled on my shoulder. ( If that tv is Mutant X add in extra joy *g* )
(5) Finding a new long story or re reading old favourites.
(6) Watching my hockey team score a winning goal.
(7) Someone asking if I've lost weight.
(8) Kicking through a pile of leaves.
(9) Watching fannish stuff with friends knowing they get it.
(10) When the words you're searching for suddenly appear and you can finally write them down.
A bonus moment of joy would be watching Numb3rs with a big cup of hot chocolate. Which I'm looking forward to doing later because I've spent most of today cleaning my carpets and wooden hallway floor, because dog dirt and kids shoes should never meet, especially if the dog produces something that makes you gag and think something died in your house. If people have a dog they should clean up after it, it's that simple.

Date: 2005-10-14 02:39 pm (UTC)I always have to clean up after mt pukey cat. I don't know why he pukes so much, but he does. He doesn't seem unhealthy in the least bit, so I'm guessing it is hairballs. It usually happens at night when Billy and I are asleep.

Date: 2005-10-14 02:50 pm (UTC)Also, number eight? I don't think one can ever grow out of the joy that comes from that. It's just one of those pleasures that too often go unnoticed, like catching snowflakes on your tongue or squelching wet sand between your toes.

Date: 2005-11-11 07:52 pm (UTC)Yeah, that's it exactly. Some things you have to do, kicking leaves, catching snow and squelching sand. I pity those who don't want those simple pleasures.

Date: 2005-10-16 06:44 pm (UTC)*grins* I'm with you there, and about people with dogs clearing up after their pets, especially because of the health risks it poses for children.

Date: 2005-10-21 06:30 pm (UTC)I get so annoyed at people who don't clean up after dogs. I know it's not the nicest thing but it takes seconds and helps prevents disease.
