I want to thank everyone that sent such lovely ecards yesterday, and also the people who said such nice things about me at [livejournal.com profile] svmadelyns Valentine's Day post. You know, polishing my ego like that just means I'll stick around longer ;)

Also, thanks to everyone that commented on my Chris day post. There's always a chance that no one will reply when you ask something like that, but people did, and the comments made me feel all warm and fuzzy.

I caught up on a lot of tv last night. We're up to date on Jerico now, and it was the first episode of the Dresden Files.

I like how they've adapted the books. The guy playing Harry fits the role pretty well and once I got over the fact that they'd changed Bob into an actual physical character, I liked him a lot. I imagine they had little choice about that, a talking skull wouldn't come across as well as a companion on tv. I also liked the mystery. The Ravens were cool ( Though of course they reminded me of Linda's Into the Fire fic ) and the skinwalker was just creepy. When she was holding the skin, just ick.

Watching, James made me laugh when he started crossing the show with Supernatural. A mother that was killed, supernatural beings to kill, he was convinced Harry was about to go on a hunt with Dean and Sam *g*

The only thing that did jar was that Harry seems much more together than the book Harry. This Harry had two women after him while the one I'm used to is much more of a loser. Unable to get a woman and with a lifestyle that's much more basic than the one on tv. I mean, the fact he was unlucky was hinted at with his car being ticketed, but it didn't come close to the lack of money and down on his luck air that book Harry carries with him.

Saying that though, I'll be re watching next week for sure.

Following [livejournal.com profile] withdiamonds and [livejournal.com profile] stubbleglitter's lead, pop people, please think about signing up for We Invented the Remix 5. It's a fascinating challenge, giving you the chance to rework a story into the way you see it, within reason of course. I've always loved reading the challenge responses in years past, the different slants people give to the original stories is so cool. Saying that, I've never signed up before, but I'm thinking about it now. I was a nervous wreck when I posted my first popslash story, my first sesa story, my first challenge story, but they've never finished me off yet. Well okay, that SeSa two years ago got close but my point remains. If I can do this, anyone can, and I'm totally here to cheerlead, and point you toward the good beta readers. Because this fandom has awesome writers, and this is an awesome challenge and it needs you, so go, sign! Make me proud!
