The new tv season starts this week. Prompted by another post I saw today. What are you looking forward to seeing/downloading? Reruns or new stuff that looks good. Tell me about it, pimp me new shows, feed my tv addiction.

As for me, I'm looking forward to new CSI ( right now I'm thinking I'll just download LV, but I suspect that may change ) NCIS, House, Supernatural, Criminal Minds and I'm debating about new Brothers and Sisters, as I'm still watching season one here. I'd also download America's Next Top Model but I watch it at home with James. New show wise, Pushing Daisies looks interesting. Oh, and Project Catwalk when it finally comes back.

ETA: I forgot Dexter and Las Vegas.

I love Brothers and Sisters. But I like that kind of "soapy" drama with touches of humor. I want to see what happens on CSI, and I am looking forward to Private Practice and I think Journeyman looks good.

Brothers and Sisters is amazing. Each episode pulls me in and the hour is gone in a flash. I'm not even sure where we're up to episode wise in the run, but I'm sure I'll change my mind and download as soon as it's finished.

CSI is a must, but I haven't heard of Journeyman or Private Practice. I'll have to google them.

Private Practice is he Grey's Anatomy spin off. Journeyman is about a guy who can go back in time...and the actor is from Rome, and I loved him in that series.

Old show wise - Stargate: Atlantis, Bones, House (if only because it airs after Bones, I think), and the little bit of Jericho we get. New show wise - I'll let my friendslist tell me what's good. :D

I forgot about Jericho. I'll be watching that one too. I have to, they left it on such a cliffhanger. Actually, I may download Bones too. That is if I have time to watch all that tv and actually live *g*

Old Things I'm Looking Forward To:
1) Battlestar Galactica
2) Heroes
3) Prison Break
4) ANTM
5) Project Runway
6) The Office

New Things I'm Looking Forward To:
1) Gossip Girl

But mostly, Battlestar. Which has a miniseries in November and nothing else until JANUARY and I am DYING.

You know, despite being a big fan of the first Battlestar, I've never seen an episode of the new version. Considering how big a sci fi fan I am, that's just insane.

I'll have to google Gossip Girl, I don't think I've heard of that one.

Oh man, if there is any way I can pull you into BSG, I would be SO HAPPY. It's my favorite show, hands down. I was reading an article about it in Rolling Stone today (I know, blech, but still...), about how it's the only politically relevant show on television at the moment. It's the only show that talks about the war and other politically salient issues. I love it SO MUCH. Also, Starbuck is kickass. She's probably my favorite female character since Buffy.

Scrubs and 30 rock are top of my list! Pushing Daisies and Heroes follow. And since you reminded me kindly that NCIS is on for yet another season, who am I to say no to some Tony? *g*

Tony! You have some awesome Tony icons. I only have one. Woe.

I like Scrubs but hadn't heard of 30 Rock. It looks interesting though.

he's such a sweetheart, isn't he? *g* I agree that NCIS might not be the best show ever, but the character are so likeable! Tony, Abbey, everyone! I had a few problems with Ziva at first (because I really liked Kate and Tony making fun of each others and I was afraid she would be a Kate-wannabe), but she's okay now.

30 rock is hilarious and quite offbeat - Alec Baldwin is just awesome! and the situations quite ridiculous sometimes - pay attention to Kenny-the-pageboy, he's fun *g* Did you use to watch Arrested Development?

I was lucky in a way, in that I started to watch NCIS all at once. With different seasons on tv and online, so I watched both Kate and Ziva eps. That meant it wasn't such a hardship when Kate died. Still, sniff :(

Nope, never watched Arrested Development.

What I'll be watching this season: Returning shows:

Prison Break
Heroes
Supernatural
CSI
Criminal Minds
Las Vegas
Survivor
Project Runway and Project Catwalk (LOVE living in Canada, hee!)

New Shows:

So far the only one that has me really curious is Pushing Daisies.
There's also a Vampire show that's based on a series of books I like (forget what they're calling the show) that I hope is good but am scared they didn't pull off.
Oh and I'll probably check out Private Practice just cause the cast is so good.

:-D

You have great taste in shows! But I totally forgot about Las Vegas! Bad me!

I watch both Project Catwalk and Project Runway too. It's interesting to see how they differ.

Are you thinking about Blood Ties? Or is there another vampire series in the works?

So much tv. I need more hours in the day *g*

Blood Ties, of course! lol

I have developed a serious TV addiction in the last few years. Those are just the shows I will not miss for anything. I also love Ramseys Kitchen Nightmares, Restaurant Makeover, ANTM/BNTM/AusNTM/CNTM and Men In Trees. But I won't 'die' if I miss an episode, lol!

New tv season! My favourite time of the year. After Christmas :-)

Okay so I'm sure you know what shows I'm looking forward to, but I'll still answer your question because.

So! Supernatural, of course! As well as Numb3rs - I've watched the promo for 4x01 and, dude, it looked different and quite intense. Then there's Heroes. And Prison Break. And Pushing Daisies, which I'm dying to see - pun a little bit intended, considering. And let's not forget about Dexter. Then when Lost returns, I think I'll give it a go as well because s3 kinda rocked.

And I just know some other shows will be added without my noticing *g*

New tv season is the best, and I'm so into these shows this year.

I forgot all about Dexter, and Heros! I'm a bad fangirl. I'm still not sure about Prison Break but Lost lost me as a fan half way through season one.

And I just know some other shows will be added without my noticing *g*

Many many shows knowing you *g*

Right now, I'm just looking forward to Prison Break, CSI and Criminal Minds (love this show!) I'm kinda burned out on TV, but I might try to watch Friday Night Lights this season, since I've heard so many great things about it.

Those are fine choices!

I was watching Friday Night Lights then the channel it was on changed the time and I missed the end episodes. I really must catch up before season 2.

I'm basically just sticking with my old shows: NCIS, CSI, and Criminal Minds. I'll throw Project Runway in there on weekend repeats and call it a day.

You really don't want a list, man. Seriously. It's a mile long - Supernatural, all the CSIs, NCIS, SGA, Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice... and then there's Numb3rs and Nip/Tuck, and House, and probably Friday Night Lights, as soon as I catch up on season one, and Bones. I'm probably missing something. There better not be any good new shows coming this season, because really, I have my plate full. ;)

Tin Man! Which is only a mini-series, and doesn't actually run until December-ish, but. Man. Alan Cumming. CKR. Weird sci-fi take on the Oz stories. Can. Not. Wait. *crosses fingers for non-suckage*

Oooh... For me it's mostly kiwi stuff that's unmissable:
* Outrageous Fortune
* Flight of the Conchords (ok it's made in the US but it's FAB!!! check them out on Youtube... SOOOOOOOO FUNNEEEEEEE)

And then there's the long awaited return of BSG (see me dribble for Starbuck... or actually, don't watch it's kinda embarrassing) and Heroes (even though the finale of season one SUCKED). And that's it. Though I will continue the sad addiction to Project Runway and Top Chef I imagine.

Mostly we'll continue to trek through West Wing and Life on Mars DVDs I expect.

And hi!!!! I'm here/back!

I love Project Catwalk so much! And new Heroes tonight! Though tomorrow for me by the time it's downloaded.

You're the second person in this post to pimp BSG. I must check it out next time it's on.

Flight of the Conchords, I agree, very amusing!

I'm going to be awaiting the Heroes download tonight I think. I hated the ending of last season with a passion, but the rest of the season (other than Mohinder's voice overs) had me. Such interesting ideas and a great plot. All it needs is better dialogue and a Peter/Mohinder kiss because. Oh! The pretty!

And you are a BAD scifi fan. BSG is the best scifi EVER! Fabulous scripts, great politics and ideas, interesting characters and very very pretty people. *orders you to go watch it now now now*

And FoTC are totally for the win.

The Office (US), Project Runway, Battlestar Galactica if I could ever get caught up on last season. ANTM when it comes back. I've just started watching Tim Gunn's Guide to Style, I'm not sure if I'll keep on with it or not. Maybe the last season of Queer Eye for the Straight Guy. Yes, Bravo owns me. And I thought there was going to be more Singing Bee but I don't see it on TV Guide. hmmm.

Do you watch Cold Case? Because if you don't, you should. It's so nicely put together, and well-written, and well-plotted. Plus it makes me cry at the end of about 50% of the episodes.

Actually, I have no idea if there's a new series of it starting, or what. I just watch it when it shows up on Sky 3. :-)

I don't. It's one of those shows that always seems to be around yet I never watch. I'll make a point of watching next time it's on though.

Thanks for the rec :)
