Happy birthday to [livejournal.com profile] breny I hope you have a fantastic day!

What an amazing film. When it finished no one said a word, and that silence was so powerful.

I knew it was going to be short and filmed via hand camera, so there were no surprises going in. Though the same couldn't be said for an old couple who walked out half way through. I liked how they paced the movie, the establishing party, then BAM! none stop action from that. Often my heart was racing, especially in the tunnels. I was like, no! Don't go in there!

It was inevitable what was going to happen at the end, but what got me was Hud dying. I thought he was going to make it, but no. Then the camera being buried followed by the happy stuff, what a way to end.

It's good how quick you get into the habit of wheelchair pushing again, but dude, some people are so inconsiderate. I mean, that's fine, just walk out in front of me or park your van inches from our car, which was in a disabled bay by the way. And yes door greeter person at Asda, this is me trying to juggle bags of shopping, but you just keep asking about the weather, because I so want to talk about how cold it is right now.

I also got a big ass blister with the skin pulled off on my finger. Believe me, I've showed that to James often, showing him my work related injury ;)

We need to go shopping again soon. Today starts the insane 10 days with five birthdays to buy for, plus Valentine's Day. As one of those birthdays is Corey's, it's an expensive time. Though he's not having a party this year, he wants to take three friends to Pizza Hut then onto the movies after. Which is fine, but I'll still get him a cake and need to decorate with banners, balloons etc. I need to get some cough medicine too, because I've come down with a cold. I'm going to blame that on James too, just because I can.

On the plus side, it's a minor cold, more an inconvenience than anything else. But still, the timing is ouch.

people are so inconsiderate sometimes - or so unaware, which is often the same thing.

*hugs you*

They really are. Though it was the dude at Asda I was most pissed at. I mean, he was the door greeter, surely he could have helped somehow?

*smooch*

What I hate about blisters is they hurt so much for what's such a minor thing, and you have that dead skin too. Ick.

Some people really are inconsiderate. You'd think they'd think about things like parking inches away from another car, or barrelling around a corner without looking. But just don't.

I'm sorry to hear you sick sweetie*makes soup*, thats about the only thing I can make without making a ever loving mess*lol*.

So Cloverfield was awesome?, I heard it was and I have kinda a spoilery question. Did Mike Vogel's character Jason Hawkins bite the bullet?, in every horror/sci fi flick the hotties always seem to get bumped off*lol*.

Hee. You sound like me in the cooking skills league. Thank you *mwah*

It was amazing! Yep, Jason did bite the bullet, early on too. Still, he looked pretty until he did so.

I don't get it either. A lot of people just don't think. Not even because they're being mean, just they don't give a second thought to helping someone that's struggling. That makes me sad.

My new hotel is dangling the proverbial carrot. Our open date keeps getting pushed back, so I'm home a lot more often (and ready to slaughter my mother because of it.) Thank you though, Autumn also seems to enjoy my being around more as well. :)

Cloverfield is a GREAT movie. I went to see it opening night here. It was everything I wanted it to be. I had been waiting for it to come out since I first saw the Transformers film. Hud really made that movie. I was also sad to see the brother go...or so we think. I want to tell you things...but I don't know if it would well you know what, if they read my comment it is their fault. DO NOT READ THIS COMMENT ANY FURTHER...unless you want Cloverfield stuff ruined

So yes, I don't know if you picked up on it but the last scene where they show Rob and the girl at Coney Island...you see the monster drop down from the sky into the water in the background. So it gives you an idea of how long it has been there. The other little secret is that at the end of the credits for the film you hear Rob's voice say " It's...still alive..." which means there is going to be a second film to answer more questions. Uh....yes *cough* I mean the movie was....cool....and I'm not geeking over it.

Oh tell me things! I like spoilers!

Yay, you did. I didn't see the monster drop down, or stay to after the credits. So I'm so glad you told me what went on. Because I'm thrilled there's going to be a second movie, because I need more! The sooner the better!

Cloverfield was good, I loved that the viewer was just as much in the dark about what happened than the small group of friends. Watching it was kind of exhausting, though.

I have to agree, watching was exhausting. Those James helped that when he decided to keep going nom nom nom when the little monsters were eating in the tunnel. I mean, way to break the tension there.
