I need to get all the old carpet pulled up for tomorrow. That and get all the furniture taken out of the room again. My computer has been boxed up so often lately it's getting ridiculous.
On the plus side, the curtains are now up and looking spiffy and we've new light shades ready to go up. Not that the lights are working right now. The other night we turned them on and promptly blew the fuses. A situation made more annoying due to the fuse box being at ceiling hight behind the kitchen cupboards. Thankfully our next door neighbour was willing to climb up and sort things out and provide new fuse wires. So he turns off all the electricity, fixes the fuses, turns the electric on again and goes to check the lights by turning them on. And bang. The fuses popped again. So now we're waiting for an electrician to take a look and maybe we'll have working lights again.
I think only a handful of people on my flist actually watch Brothers and Sisters but I was catching up on the show and it's about time the Walkers caught a break. It's getting silly how much they have to suffer, and now, after finally finding all that water they're all involved in a huge car crash. I mean, seriously, these people have the worst luck ever. A car crash with a side helping of Saul being HIV positive. Because of course he's HIV positive. He's part of the Walker family, and as such has no chance of a happy life. Saying that, the crash was horrible to watch. Robert was never a favourite of mine but I didn't want him to die. Mostly I was worried that they'd kill Scotty. He needs to be around in all his awesome glory next season. So yeah, yet more tragedy for the Walkers, but man, it was a sad five minutes to watch.
Today I've been catching up on Criminal Minds. At this rate I may have watched all my downloaded shows by the time the new seasons start. Not that I really need to watch the latest Biggest Loser due to Bob spoiling on Twitter.
My IGoogle has a YouTube vid of the day thing. Today it was the Old Spice commercial, so of course I had to watch and then follow the link to watch the 'making of' that was linked. That commercial is what prompted the whole 'he's on a horse, I'm on a horse thing at Camp Sparkle. So I sat and watched and may have even worn my tiara for a moment.
Fannishly I've been enjoying the discussions about Jon's new haircut, and also the pictures of Pete and Ashlee with Darth Vader also the pictures of Ryan performing with The Like.
Things I haven't been enjoying. Yesterday I posted the picture that contained Jepha and the pineapple -- I know you know which one -- for
mikeyway_daily. Within seconds photobucket pulled it for breaching terms and conditions. So I tried to upload to LJ, only for LJ to repeatedly tell me that I wasn't logged in, which wasn't true at all. So I tried image shack, and spent a long time trying to remember which code would actually show the picture in a post. It would have been easier to just give up and post a different picture but I battled on. I would not be defeated by a pineapple!
Right, time to go battle the carpet. I have a sharp knife and am not afraid to use it.
