I got mail. Postcards from

saba1789 and a package of awesome from

sperrywink. Thank you all so much ♥

We got a new couch today, well, an old new couch as we bought it off Gumtree. But, it's gorgeous and condition wise is perfect. A three and two seater in colours that match our living room beautifully. It has huge, squishy cushions and seats that don't drop you down to the floor due to bust springs. I'm really pleased with our choice, especially as it provides excellent TV watching comfort.

I claimed a mix at the bandom reverse bang yesterday. Wow, those few minutes after claims opened were crazy, I have a lot of respect for the mods who handled it so well. Now I just have to hope no one is sitting cursing when they saw who had claimed their mix.

There were so many amazing choices, and I have to admit, I fell in love with the Waybots. Because, Waybots.

Mini nano is still going well, and I've been reassured that what I'm writing for stuffsit actually makes sense, which is a relief.

I've just made and eaten veggie mince with onion gravy, dumplings and mashed potato. I may be close to a food coma, which is bad as I need to get my nano words in. Though like many people in fandom I've been using Written Kitten to get my daily words, because kittens! New kittens at every 100 words.

We're taking mam to the hospital again tomorrow, for an all day thing this time. But, last week we got positive news, so that's great.

And with that I'm off to write my nano words and gain myself some kittens, and then maybe snuggle on my new comfy couch and watch TV.

I'm already regretting withdrawing from brbb and also not writing much on NaNo. I sort of wish I could hit a rewind button and force myself to give it a better shot.

girlpearl was just commenting last night that the back cushion for 1 of our living room couches has lost all structural integrity.

I'm super excited about brbb (SO many excellent prompts!), but I've also been blindsided by a lot of anxiety about it. I really hope the person who did the mix I picked wasn't disappointed to have me pick it. . . :(

I hope you can get a new one soon. It's fantastic when you've had an old battered couch and get one that actually holds its shape.

Well, I didn't submit any media but what I will say is that if I had I would have been thrilled to have it picked by you. And I'm sure the person you have picked will be thinking the same way.

It's so comfy! All squishy with a load of scatter cushions. It was an amazing bargain too. I love when you get something second hand but looks brand new.

Cheap and comfy is an awesome combination.

Well, you can still rejoin at a later date. There's still a lot of media left if you decide to go for it.

The thing is though, forcing yourself never really ends well. I hate when writing feels like a chore, so maybe leave a few days and see how you feel then?

Written kitten is so cute! I don't know how long I'll use it for, but for now the novelty gets the words out.

Yeah, that's what I keep telling myself. "You can still join later, you can, it's okay."

I hate forcing myself, too, and I hate when something I love turns into a chore. I'm one of those people where, if I feel pushed into something, I will dig in my heels and simply not do it out of spite. I think if I just relax and give myself time to chill, it'll come back.

It's super cute! I got almost 100 words out of it, but when I broke the 200 word mark (I started at 147, where I left off before), I got an absolutely terrifying cat picture and couldn't bring myself to continue. Easily traumatized, me.

On the plus side, I do feel the inkling of a writing urge starting up, sort of a 'I think I could maybe get behind this' but it doesn't feel geared towards any of my current projects. I'd like to get something accomplished for my WIPs, y'know? Even my NaNo, because I had started out so excited about the idea. I don't know what happened :(

I had a very hard time while scrolling through the art and mixes for the reversebbb. Then, I was on the verge of a freakout while waiting for the mods to approve my claim (and keeping an eye on the people ahead of me, hoping with every fiber of my being that they wouldn't pick the same mix I wanted.) Thankfully, I got it and now can't wait to finish my Stuffsit assignment to tackle my reversebbb. \o/

Sounds like Written Kittens is working fine for you, eh? I wonder what other kinds of positive reinforcements are out there. *g*

Yay new couch! I got a new couch just over a year ago, and I am still just ridiculously pleased with it. I'm sitting on it right now, and my ass is very comfy. :p My old on was So. Awful. I can't help but remember every time I sit down. I hope you get just as much enjoyment out of yours.

The brbb stuff is/was great, yeah? So many talented artists! & I've been working my through the mixes, which are pretty fantastic (currently on play, the drum mix). I'm really looking forward to the stories. :)

& btw, go nano! *high fives* I've written more in the last couple of weeks than I've written in the previous two months. Mini nano is the best nano. :D

Having a bad or uncomfortable couch is the worst. In the end ours had boards underneath to stop people falling into a hole to the floor. So I totally get remembering every time you sit down. I'm glad you've a new awesome couch too.

The art work and mixes were fabulous. People in fandom are so creative. I'm in awe.

My new couch has the squishiest cushions ever! I keep piling the two biggest at one end and lounging while watching tv :)

It was frantic getting claims in for reversebbb. Thankfully I had a list of three mixes I would have loved so was sure I'd get one. Still, my heart jumped when I realised comments were open on a refresh, and had multiple claims less than a minute after they did open. Which is just. Wow.

I'm glad you got the one you wanted \o/
