They've been splitting up in those pairs for a while now, and have to do what makes them happy. But the band splitting in two like that. It's hard to see.

Honestly, I'm not surprised. Jon and Ryan have spent the last few months together and Spencer and Brendon have been everywhere together. In hindsight, it makes sense.

In a lot of ways there's been so many signs, but what's getting me the most is Ryan and Spencer splitting up.

They need to do what makes them happy, and if that's leaving the band, so be it. Just, I wish it didn't have to.

Part of me really wants to be sad, but I can't bring myself to be. I think I've been slightly disappointed with them all for awhile so I'm hoping this will be a nice change and they'll go back to being more like I remember them being and maybe rejoin or something in the long run?

Only downfalls I see are no Brendon and Ryan together, and Ryan and Spencer have always been together. All the same, I'm sure things will work out just fine.

Only other downfall, I was hoping (okay dreaming) they'd have A Fever You Can't Sweat Out comeback with their music.

So long as Brendon keeps singing though, I'll be happy. His voice makes me <3333

What's making me sad is the thought of Ryan and Spencer splitting up. Logically I know friendships can survive apart, and even flourish, but it seems wrong.

I just hope that they're still friends and there's been no personal bust ups, because that would be horrible.

I'm looking forward to what both pairings produce, and with Pete tweeting their new stuff is more like Fever you may get your wish.

I guess all we can do is wait and see.

It's so weird! Why not have a hiatus (by the actual definition of hiatus, and not *NSYNC's version) and do your separate musical things, and then maybe you will love each other again and want to make another record? Otherwise, when they get back together, it's just like a big LJ flounce, when the person changes their mind and has to be like, "I... didn't actually mean that." KIDS THESE DAYS.

I'll miss Jon and Ryan in Panic, but I'm selfish and glad we get to keep Brendon and Spencer(one of my favorite pairings). Hopefully we'll get great music from both groups and a reunion eventually. It helps that there don't seem to be any hard feelings and that Spencer and Ryan are best friends.

I keep thinking of Interlock and how the friendships would have been so much better served if they'd split up to follow their different musical directions *first* instead of tearing each other apart inside 'the band' trying to do something that gave no one joy. Honestly, this seems like a better thing.

It was a shock seeing the news set out like that. Especially with Ryan and Spencer being split up, but while it won't be the same without all four of them, they have to do what makes them happy.

I'd hate them to dislike one another, so yeah, it could be the best thing. And I'm going to keep on believing Ryan and Spencer are BFFs and the others love one another, just want to go in different directions musically right now.

I'm not a really big fan of their music, but I liked what I did hear. *hug* It's always sad, I think, when bands break-up. :(
